Oldboy : the math does not add up or make sense

the math does not add up or make sense

In 1986 Joe was at the school, catching the girl and her father having sex. Means he was 18 ok then goto 1993 which would make him 25 he was the worse looking and oldest 25 I have seen. Goto 2013 which would mean he is now 45.

Re: the math does not add up or make sense

Okay, other then him looking really old for 25, what don't you get? And I've seen guys that look worse than he did at that age. Went to high school with guys who starting balding or going grey before they were 18.

Re: the math does not add up or make sense

I can't agree with you on this. Joe did not look 25 at the beginning.

Re: the math does not add up or make sense

It was probably nothing more than them really wanting to use josh brolin as much as possible.

Re: the math does not add up or make sense

In the 1993 scenes Brolin looks rough with what looks like a bad wig and he looks about 50!

Its that man again!!

Re: the math does not add up or make sense

That's not true, unless you have a June or July birthday. In the United States, if you don't fail any grades, you'll turn 18 sometime during your senior year of high school.

Re: the math does not add up or make sense

People with birthdays in July, August, September, October, November, or December will turn 18 after graduating high school. What don't you get about this?

Re: the math does not add up or make sense

You're just plain wrong! I, born in December of 1978, turned 18 BEFORE I graduated from high school, in May or June of 1997, on schedule. The ones who turn 18 after they graduate either skipped grades or have summer birthdays. There's a cutoff date that determines what grade you'll be in. That's the way the North Carolina public school system I grew up in works.

Re: the math does not add up or make sense

Sorry but you are partially wrong. I too grew up in NC. My birthday is the end of September and I was 17 when I graduated high school and I did not skip any grades. Started first grade when I was 5.

Re: the math does not add up or make sense

I have a september birthday and turned 18 during the school year and spent my entire year being 18. same thing with my friend who has a july bday and went to a different school district. 2 freinds that graduated at my school had march bday"s and were 18 when they graduated.

Re: the math does not add up or make sense
