Why is Angelina Jolie's name on the poster? She isn't listed in the acting credits. Do they really need her name for marketing? If a film looks good, people will see it. I hate going to movies and all I can think is that's George Clooney or Brad Pitt or Angelina Jolie. I want the actors to look like their characters, not like themselves. And I want the films to focus on the story and promote the story rather than the actor.

Her name is on the poster because she is the Executive Producer. That's why it says "presents". Executive Producers are listed on posters all the time. The rest of your post has nothing to do with this movie.
