Chris Evans : Jenny Slate

Jenny Slate

If they are actually dating, I am so happy for them!!! Their picture together looks so cute!!

Re: Jenny Slate

Well, she said in an interview he's like her "dream 7th grade boyfriend", so that's probably as much confirmation as we'll get.
Kind of tacky saying something like that while still being married, though.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TAQ9acYNWwM

Re: Jenny Slate

yeah I legit just found out that she's getting a divorce. Changes everything tbh, but I still ship it more than Tom and Taylor

Re: Jenny Slate

She separated months ago and filled for the divorce who knows when, so yeah I know for many people a marriage is not over till divorce is sealed and done but I guess for others it's done the moment they decide it's done, but like someone else said it in the thread, only they know what happened and they are both adults, they both look happy, their families too, so I'm happy for them.
Besides when was the last time Chr 2000 is actually posed with a girlfriend on the red carpet? I think it was back when he was dating Biel.

Re: Jenny Slate

Oh it was months ago?! That's better, bc someone told me it was last month!!
Yeah they are adults - they know what they're doing :)

Re: Jenny Slate

I don't know how long it was, I'm going from what I read, but it was said separation was a time ago, but yeah the filling for divorce was reported last month.
Nevertheless I say it's their busyness!

Re: Jenny Slate

There's moving on after a separation and then there's saying things like that in front of a camera just 3 months after deciding to end a marriage. First one is okay, second one is tacky. Especially if the split was 'amicable'.

Re: Jenny Slate

I am sure there is ALLL kids of speculation BUT only Chris and Jenny know all the details. I choose to believe the best in people. I hope they are both happy.

Re: Jenny Slate

Chris Evans tend to have relationships with all his co-stars. Jenny Slate isn't pretty, but she's kind of funny, and he likes to laugh. They only took one picture together on the red carpet, where she puts her hand on his chest. She wants people to know they're dating. She even tried to get Chris to join her on the red carpet, but he didn't want to do it. He didn't confirm that they're dating, however she tried to drop hints to ET news that they're a couple. I think Chris will get tired or annoyed by her sooner or later and move on.

Re: Jenny Slate

AFAIK Chris rarely has romantic relationships with co-stars.

That he brought his family to the premiere in NYC and posed for photos when the last time he openly did this for anyone was Jessica Biel says to me he's serious. They looked happy. Lisa looked happy. I'm happy for them.

Re: Jenny Slate

He's had relationships with most of his co-stars. I think he decided to go and take his nephews because Jenny Slate invited him, and he wanted to show his support since they're also friends. His family did not pose with her. He hesitantly took one red carpet photo with him. She couldn't get him to go up with her and do red carpet interviews. He has never really confirmed that he's dating her. She seems desperate to prove that she's dating him by putting her hand on his chest. Anyway, Chris will definitely get annoyed with her and run, and she'll probably try to run after him. She's all kinds of crazy.

Re: Jenny Slate

Eh? you seem to know him so well

it's just too funny! but like picap said he doesn't date all his costars, in fact most of his dating life is gossip rumors that no one ever could confirm, the only two girlfriends he confirmed were Biel, with whom he posed on red carpets and events and Minka Kelly with whom there are pap pics of them holding hands and kissing etc. So if he is there posing at an event with Jenny, consider it serious because the last time he did that was like 10 years ago with Biel.
The rest of their dating history, how they met or started or how long they will last, who knows and who cares, it's their lives to live not ours.

Re: Jenny Slate

He can date anyone he want. We are here to support his work. Wishes best in his life and career thats it.

Re: Jenny Slate

I know I'm going to get in big trouble with Bssm84 for being mean and negative and I'll probably delete this in the morning but I'm not making much progress with Jenny Slate. I've really tried just for him to like her but ... I don't know one of the most endearing things about Chris is how much he loves kids and he's said recently he really wants children and he said ages ago that it was important to him that a girl can get tearful over babies. Has she ever even once made any reference to babies ever that wasn't in the context of having them aborted? Like ever? Seriously, I would fear for the safety of Chris's babies in her womb. I'll keep trying.

OK I'll go and put my crash helmet on and wait for the beating I'm going to get!

Re: Jenny Slate

Sorry for laughing but it is funny when you girls get mad about another girl! Sorry now for being sexist! At least you've tried Karlacev, which is a lot more than most of his female fans have I'm guessing. You're a bit harsh though. Just because she thinks the legal abortion limit should be four years doesn't mean she's not maternal. I must admit she wouldn't exactly make it on to my babysitter list!

To be serious for a bit, it doesn't bother me who he dates and I don't think it really bothers me if it's someone I like or not. It's not him - it's someone else. I have never even seen her in a film or an interview apart from the Anna Faris thing. She seems like someone I'd like to have as a female buddy rather than have a romance with but I am not Chris and if she met me she might well find me completely revolting so why would she care what I think?

Re: Jenny Slate

Here I am to beat you up!!!

I kind of agree with Zak, I don't feel that strongly about who he dates and my thoughts on the topic will remain my own.

I think we should try to keep things positive. I did used to think that at least some of Chris's circle kept an eye on us so I felt we should be positive in case Chris ever dropped in for a peak. I'm pretty sure that's not the case anymore so I'm less anxious about that. Having said that I don't really like being negative anyway. If I'd met Hitler I would have probably said 'oh, but he loves animals you know. He's a vegetarian!' Just before he had me shot.

Re: Jenny Slate

Oh I CAN SO RELATE to this. The only think I have true hatred towards is spiders. I am ruthless. Other than that, I can generally find something in everyone and everything that I can like.

Re: Jenny Slate

she seemed sweet enough around her nieces and nephews. being an advocate for women's right to reproductive medicine and being motherly are not mutually exclusive.

and really, i hate to point this out--but chris is also lewd, foul-mouthed, and almost has certainly done recreational substances. the number of people in that community who have tried cannabis is going to way outnumber the number of people who haven't. furthermore, he very obviously and publicly enjoys a legalized drug--alcohol.

and as others have pointed out, liking her is not a prerequisite for liking him. i love my siblings, but i really don't like their spouses.

Re: Jenny Slate

Pot is now also a legalized drug in more than 1/2 of US States, several for recreational purposes including California and Mass. In terms of what it does to the human body overall it's not any more dangerous than alcohol or tobacco cigarettes, maybe less.

I like Jenny. I think she's smart, funny, very talented and charming. Regardless, Chris knows her far better than we do and knows whether they have feelings, beliefs, attitudes and life goals in common. He's 35 not 15 and he's now known her for over a year.

Re: Jenny Slate

Pot is now also a legalized drug in more than 1/2 of US States

Really? Now I did not know that! Interesting.

chris is also lewd, foul-mouthed

He abso-fikken-lootly is. Doesn't actually make it right. Or wrong.

Re: Jenny Slate

No, I didn't kn 1c84 ow that either! You live and you learn.

I'll be honest and I did try it at university a couple of times but never since. There must be something wrong with my metabolism or something but it had no effect on me at all. Other people would be going 'I'm really stoned" and I'd be "yeah, me too" and thinking 'nope, nothing!' Am I traceable? Will the police turn up at my door now? Oh, I'll just go and turn myself in.

I have a pathological hatred of the tobacco industry for political reasons and I'll stop there before I start ranting.

(If you read this Evans, I'll never understand why my emotional nicotine patch didn't work. What stone is your heart made of? I wrote that in invisible ink so nobody else can read it. S' true!)

Re: Jenny Slate

MR B! I'm am seriously shocked ...... by the fact you went to university! What did you study? Evansology?

Very intrigued about an 'emotional nicotine patch'. I don't suppose you're going to say or you wouldn't have written it in 'invisible ink!'

Re: Jenny Slate

I'll be honest and I did try it at university a couple of times but never since.

Bss!!! You'll be telling me next you've drunk alcohol! Shocking.

Re: Jenny Slate

Bss!!! You'll be telling me next you've drunk alcohol! Shocking.

Well, I had a sip of my auntie Bettie's dry sherry at my cousin's wedding a few years back. Didn't end well. They found me 3 days later wandering the streets in my underwear singing MacArthur's Park. They still call me Donna in our village.

Never touched alcohol since. I stick to Bud Light.

"The movie came to life every time you were on the screen." Stan Lee to Chris Evans.

Re: Jenny Slate

Lush!

They actually sell Bud Light in England, and not just to American tourists? I thought it was widely regarded there as piss water. 😏

Re: Jenny Slate

@picap and @mechevpao9

That was the joke. I drink Bud Light instead of alcohol. D'oh! To be serious, I don't even know if they do sell Bud Light in England. I've never looked for it! I know when Chris mentioned he had some in his fridge in an interview it was the subject of some serious piss taking among some of his fans. ie me and my mate.

They do sell normal Budweiser (piss water) in the UK but we also have Budvar/Budweiser which is Czech and is a really good bear. Do you get it? http://www.budweiserbudvar.co.uk/ I'm sure you do. In fact, Czech beer is regarded as the best in Europe followed by German. The Czech beer came first and the American beer was named after it by some emigree who is now burning in the beer barrels of hell. I believe.

Czech Budvar/Budweiser is one of my favourite beers. I've tried American Budweiser and it just tastes of bubbly sugar and makes me burp.

I'm not knocking American products in general! I'll share a couple of photos I took on my excellent adventure in the US (as I've been at Auntie Bettie's sherry again). Look at this http://imageshack.com/a/img922/1013/mqFJbI.jpg for cookies/biscuits/eatie things!! The choice! Insane! It's in Roche Bros in Boston. God Bless Americaland.

Do you recognise this from What's Your Number? http://imageshack.com/a/img923/6540/qKQo5B.jpg

Last question of the night. This is two of my relatives who will kill me if they find I'm posting their picture on the net. They are play acting. Where are they? http://imageshack.com/a/img922/4886/D4ANmP.jpg

Winner gets a can of Bud. Loser gets two cans of Bud.

Re: Jenny Slate

People don't drink Bud for the taste they drink it because of all the marvelous Clydesdale commercials.

https://www.youtube.com/wat 1908 ch?v=fnR9KAF6Iqg

Did you buy an Eggplant, Meatball or or Chicken Parmesan Sub?

I don't know - but I'm OK with losing or "winning" the prize since I don't drink beer of any pedigree.

Re: Jenny Slate

@Bss From now on I shall call you Donna. Or maybe Don for short!!

I DO recognise the picture from What's Your Number? It's where Chris and Anna got a sandwich.

At first I thought the competition picture was in a big school house and then I thought maybe is it Ellis Island?

@picap Those commercials are great!! I don't like beer of any kind really!

Re: Jenny Slate

@picap Really good adverts! Much better than the beer for sure.

Did you buy an Eggplant, Meatball or or Chicken Parmesan Sub?

None, I'd just eaten somewhere else although the meatball sounded tempting. Linguistic note of the day, we call eggplant 'aubergine' in case you come here craving an eggplant sandwich one day. How did you build such a great nation using all the wrong words all of the time? Don't you confuse each other?

@Karlacev Yes, it was Ellis Island. The best museum type thing I've ever been to. You win a can of Bud. Sorry.

Cultural point - we were talking about alcohol. The guy in the Ellis Island picture (a relative) was standing next to me when I was buying a bottle of wine in that supermarket in Boston. We were both asked for ID even though I was buying and he was just standing next to me. I had my driving license on me but he didn't have anything on him so they wouldn't sell me the wine! They refused me the bottle of wine because the friend I was with had no ID. Now that's strict! So I bought a gun and shot him and then they said it was OK. (That joke doesn't work in Boston, does it?)

"The movie came to life every time you were on the screen." Stan Lee to Chris Evans.

Re: Jenny Slate

I don't drink but I do love horses. Budweiser has the best commercials!!

Re: Jenny Slate

Bud Light ????? I don't want to judge!!! but I'm judging you on your taste for beers

Re: Jenny Slate

I've seen it written somewhere that Chris can roll an amazing joint with one hand. Now who knows if it's true or not but I would be more surprised if he doesn't still partake in the odd spliff or two. I've also heard rumours of a coke habit in the past, and Scott got busted from trying to buy coke from an undercover cop in 2012.

At the end of the day he is only human and has his faults like we all do, he smokes and drinks and hey, that's OK.

As for Ms Slate, I don't know about her at all. They don't seem very "together" for a couple that have been dating for 6 months. I've only seen them touching a few times, and one of those was at the Secret Life of Pets premiere and his body language, to me, didn't scream 'hey look at my girlfriend!' There's quite a few people that think she's using his fame to further her career but I don't know about that at all. We'll see if they're still together once Gifted has been released, my friends and I think not.

Re: Jenny Slate

hey look, just what I was saying, so many fans talking about body language.... look if there were 20 pics of them in front of the paps touching each other, fans would say it's a showmance, because there aren't many pics and they seem to act like they don't want to draw too much attention on them as a couple, then "it's weird" and then go as far as to say, the woman is using him to farther her career... this is something said about every woman close to him even his friends, like when Hayley interacted with him on twitter, she was jsut using him to promote second season of Agent Carter and further her career... now Jenny is doing the same, because she really needs it like she keeps doing her usual stands in, she keeps doing voice work in animated movies and working as an actress in independent films or TV shows.. but hey all women are evil b*tches who use him for fame, right?

Also, it's funny to bring up all the sh*t said on gossip, to comment on what he does... I'm not to judge what each person thinks regarding certain things but seriously, bringing up certain things only serves for the gossip sites and hateful places that have said some really nasty stuff, and they use it for entertainment purposes.

Re: Jenny Slate

There's quite a few people that think she's using his fame to further her career but I don't know about that at all.

Oh no, don't misunderstand me. I actually think she really adores him. Just look at the way she looks at him. I also think he adores her. I also think they are playing it right by spending as much time together as they can and yet not flaunting their relationship. Just because I want to have an argument with her doesn't mean I don't think they're in love. I genuinely think they are.

Re: Jenny Slate

I really didn't want to get into this again but since it's still hanging out there...

There is no way this is a PR relationship for Gifted. Gifted is not a blockbuster, is not a movie gunning for awards during award season, is not a big film for either of their careers and it's not even a film that's core relationship is the romance. There is no conceivable reason that it would necessitate a fake relationship that lasted even a month let alone for more than a year.

They also haven't done anything together to seek publicity except for their very low key coming out at the Pets premiere. She didn't even walk the red carpet with him in Australia even though she flew there with him there and attended the GQ event together. Ditto that Teen awards thing in the summer. That's a big no no in Publicity 101. We've only seen them together a few times because they've only been caught by paps at the airport and the rest are fan encounters where I don't think they've even posed together. Again, if it's a PR relationship they're not seeking nearly enough publicity for all the time they're putting into it - not to mention all the grief and vitriol Jenny gets on social media from a few jealous net stalkers because of it.

It was obvious on the Anna Podcast that they liked each other a lot, and they'd become good friends and enjoyed each other immensely. Hell, she sent him copies of her teenage diary and he could recite parts of it. (I also think that their being together on the podcast points toward their not being in a romantic relationship yet 5b4 because if they were he'd have never done it).

Why do people think Chris is so stupid or naive that he allows people to use him? It's the accusation some fans throw not only at women he dates but even been friends with that could be seen as a romantic possibility. Interesting, that only Hayley Atwell got accusations of her using him whenever she mentioned him but never Mackie or Stan. People tore into Jlaw when there was no evidence they even talked to each other for more than 2 seconds. If the rumors were true and he'd been in a relationship with Elizabeth Olsen she'd have been the one doubted, put under a microscope and torn to pieces - the way a section of Tom Hiddleston fans tore into her.

Thank you, bethnor1!!!

I’ve been a huge CE fan for 10+ years (and I’ve been lurking around this board for about as long). I respect him as an actor and as a person. But, let’s stop pretending he doesn’t have his own questionable history with drugs/booze/sleazy hook-ups. (If I was rich, good looking, and young in Hollywood, i’d do the same. It doesn’t bother me, because he’s a good guy at heart). But, why is it an issue for Jenny? He was exactly right when he said they where same animal. So why is she judged so harshly? (The same thing happened when he was dating Minka, a lot of slut shaming from his fans). Jenny’s a Colombia grad, with a career, that I would argue, is in some ways more successful than his. Yes, she’s a little much, but at least she’s honest. And yes, she’s pro-choice, that doesn’t mean she doesn’t want to be a mom or that she won’t be a great one, she just wants to be a mom on her terms. Her business.

I know his fans are younger, but it makes me sad to see them tweeting her nasty comments. That hurts Jenny, but it could also hurt *them* in the future. I work in social media, and those comments they tweet CE? Yikes!

Anyway, I’m not aiming at a single person and I’m sorry for the rant, but I just wanted to point out the double standard that exists here. And also women putting down other women is not productive. Also Chris is not Captain America. No one is. That’s the point. :)

I think it's quite simple - jealousy.

There's a lot of people out there who think he is Steve Rogers, nothing could be further from the truth. He's said himself he's more Johnny Storm than Steve Rogers!

I know his fans are younger, but it makes me sad to see them tweeting her nasty comments. That hurts Jenny, but it could also hurt *them* in the future. I work in social media, and those comments they tweet CE? Yikes!

We've discussed the tweets he gets on one of the Facebook groups I'm on and I really d 5b4 on't understand why a) they say what they do, where's their self-respect and b) think that Chris is going to tweet them back when all they say is *beep* me Daddy" That's never going to be anything but ignored, but also stops him interacting with fans who want a serious discussion via Twitter!

And yes, she’s pro-choice, that doesn’t mean she doesn’t want to be a mom or that she won’t be a great one, she just wants to be a mom on her terms. Her business.

Good on her. Despite what I might think about her, I'm happy that she's making Chris happy, and that's good.

Instagram, tumblr and sh!t like that, mate. You're obviously not a fully qualified stalker!

Re: Jenny Slate

Tumblr? Instagrams? Do people still send those?

I do consider myself an expert vis-à-vis the Intonet and the Word Wild Net. Oh, yes, I have one of those laptop things with about a million gigglebites. I might even have a he-male address.

You're obviously not a fully qualified stalker!

A part timer, I think. I'm OK as long as he's warm, dry and fed. (why am I talking like a dad? Do I have paternal feelings for Christopher? I always thought they were fraternal. I'd better ring my therapist.)

You're insane - in a good way. Do you think we should point out to people who may not plug into your whacky British sense of humour that you don't actually mean a lot of what you say literally. I'm worried there are people out there who think you really did wander round drunk for 3 days in your underwear after sipping your auntie's sherry!! Donna.

Anyway, I remember the whole family went down to Disney this time last year. Looks like Jenny is part of the family. Cute.

Off to bed, night all. zzzz

Re: Jenny Slate

Do you think we should point out to people who may not plug into your whacky British sense of humour that you don't actually mean a lot of what you say literally.

Nah, don't say anything. It keeps them on their toes.

Re Disneyland (I always get mixed up between World and Land). Disneyland Paris is the nearest to me but I've never been! Don't judge me! I suppose we'll get the inevitable pictures of his nephews and I'll feel guilty because it's nice to see them but I'd never take one let alone post one myself. What a hypocrite.

"The movie came to life every time you were on the screen." Stan Lee to Chris Evans.

Re: Jenny Slate

It's Disney World. I get them mixed up too, then I remember the first was created in Florida (all that cheap swamp land Disney bought up without revealing he was going to build a park) and World > Land.

It seems to be an annual event for them. Chris joked at the D23 event when he presented Civil War footage that his family starts their Disney World countdown very early - something like texting it's 283 days to Disney World.

Re: Jenny Slate

LOL your sense of humor is the best!
but with part time stalker, it should be good enough... it's not like we have to search much, you go there and, ironically, it's the sites that are against them together, those that publish all the stuff about them being together LOL

Re: Jenny Slate

Can I get the name of your therapist?

I have had a few maternal feelings for this stupid guy. Mother bear comes out when someone tries to attack him or be mean.

The rest of the time, there is NOTHING maternal about how I see this guy!

Re: Jenny Slate

I'm a woman, I believe in planned parenthood and that women should have available all the choices for her own sexual reproduction health, I would't get an abortion for me if I was on that circumstance yet, women have it done 1 out of 5 pregnancies end in an abortion and those countries or States that don't legalize them... women die having abortions on clandestine centers, and they are usually poor women.
So supporting abortion and planned parenthood doesn't mean supporting the killing of babies, is supporting the rights of women in the sexual reproduction health, education on sexual reproduction specially for those women who are under an unprivileged social and economical circumstance.
I didn't know that it a woman isn't motherly, that makes her a bad woman... for example, I don't want to have kids, I guess that makes me evil.. LOL

About...being fowl mouthed, WOW never got the memo that said that Chris was a saint.. he is not Steve Rogers nevertheless he is a good guy... and her doing drugs, come on.. she smokes weed it's legal on many places now and it's no worst than alcohol or tobacco.

Now this BS about being put off him because of Jenny... well, it would be the same if he where dating any other women because his fans always found something to trash about on whoever he was dating at the time.

To me, I like she is non apologetic about her feminist point of view, considering just the word feminism is so demonized and considered for women who hates men and motherhood, etc... she smart (she went to Columbia University), her writing is great and she is funny, her sense of humor is acid and not for everyone, but humor is like that, so. Also, she is really sweet to the people that meet her and before she was bullied by crazy Chris's fans, she used to interact with her fans, specially who wanted and advice or just a "feel good" phrase.

Re: Jenny Slate

I shouldn't have started this.

I'll try to choose my words as carefully as I can. Thanks by the way for being so nice with me. You could have all torn me to pieces so I appreciate it.

Believe it or not I agree with just about all you said. I haven't really changed b68 my mind though.

It's not just the abortion thing but that is a part of it. Believe it or not I believe in free abortion on demand because we have to deal with the world as it is not the way we want it to be. I also think it's inhuman to force a woman to go through with a pregnancy when she's desperate not to.

HOWEVER, in the same way as a lot of 'conservatives' can't (and maybe shouldn't) stand with Trump because of the things he says, I find even as a feminist, a humanist and an atheist I can't stand wholeheartedly with the pro-choice lobby because of the things they say. This is not the place for it but I could write reams on why that is. Let's just say I have never been able to take that final step necessary to be totally at ease with abortion and that is to regard the human embryo as utterly worthless and disposable. I resent the way that strand of feminism has hijacked the debate and made any other opinion a heresy. If they want all women to stand with them they need to listen to other voices and recognise other shades of thought or they risk repeating the recent mistakes of not understanding how and why people who should be shoulder to shoulder with them are actually not. I could argue long into the night with JS about things she says and why I as a woman don't connect with them. If Chris is of one mind with her I see holes in his stated philosophy of life I'd tackle him on too. We'd start with the word 'awe'. I must stop this now because it's not the place.

I guess Jenny would say "I believe what I believe and that doesn't make me a bad person". I would say to her "I believe what I believe and that doesn't make me a bad feminist".

I'm going to go off and try to concentrate on what many of you say about loving people but not their partners and see if I can get it back. Bethnor1 thank you SO much for making me laugh so much!!! You are really a very, very nice bunch of people without exception. Actually, no. I should say except ME!

to you guys. xx
