They say inflation is going down because the increase of prices is slowing down.
Which to me doesn't make any sense or is a dumb way to put it.
In my book the only way to say that inflation is going down is if prices stop going up or better yet start to go back to where they were pre inflation.
It would be like if I punched Donna Donkey really hard in the face injuring her and sending her to the ER and then I told her, "I didn't beat you up."
No, the only way I didn't beat her up is if I didn't lay a hand on her in the first place.
(Never mind being beaten is the only way she will ever get a man to touch her.)
So who comes up with this stuff?

Inflation is just the rate of change. Price is the absolute number. It's like if you're driving a car and slow down from 60 mph to 45 mph. You're moving slower than you were but still getting farther from your starting point.
