Nothing to realize as you say.
You'll get over it.

Fox News is a commercial news network like the rest of them, what makes it special it includes conservative voices who sometimes agree, sometimes disagree with the host who himself might or might not be conservative (not a liberal echo chamber like CNN or CNBC). In my opinion this Shepard guy's limp wristed, fake indignation simply doesn't match with the actual news conference Trump made. You almost need a Trump to English dictionary to interpret it so anyone who's predisposed to get it wrong will have an easy time doing it. When Trump says something like, "We did great, almost as good as Reagan, no really, I think we did ok don't you think that?" I don't think it calls for a five minute meltdown from the host. But different views is ok.

Are you not changing is word, I think I literally said we had the biggest victory at the electoral college since Reagan. (That said almost as good as Reagan put some subjectivity in it, but is arguably even worst as a statement)
Trump had one of the lowest margin victory in history of the presidential election:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_States_presidential_elections_by_Electoral_College_margin
2016 Donald Trump 538 304 2272012 Barack Obama 538 332 2062008 Barack Obama 538 365 1732004 George W. Bush 538 286 2512000 George W. Bush 538 271 2661996 Bill Clinton 538 379 1591992 Bill Clinton 538 370 1681988 George H. Bush 538 426 1111984 Ronald Reagan 538 525 13
Look at those numbers, Trump goes on saying biggest victory at the electoral college since Reagan, when pointed that it is not true he change for a republican and pointed that no Bush in 1988 had 122 more college vote, he is almost responding "it is something people twitted that I saw".
How can someone be wrong about something so easy to check, he must know and be openly lying (or worst reading blogs/twitt/terrible source saying that and believing them).
It would be a joke and not worthy of much time if people didn't buy that narrative, but people do believe that Trump had a big victory (even if is one of the top 10 closest election in history), even people on this message board did repeat that lie around ( I think m-slovak79 did at some point). And he use that false large victory has an argument (about the poll being very wrong, about what peoples want, etc).
I think it is important to call him on is easy and factual to see lie like those, because it is a Trump pattern he does it with everything, by pointing it on objective lie it can become easier to see for people that it does it also for more subjective stuff.
It is not so bad if he is simply openly lying, knowing a large portion of is fanbase believe anything he say with the other's that do not care. But if he actually really did read that he had the biggest electoral college since Reagan for a republican, imagine how just terrible are is new sources and is process to get and validate information, that is really scary, he could have an extremely distorted view of the reality, believing in Chem trails type of guys.
Re: OT: Fox News openly calls Trump a liar (link)
I didn't make a direct quote, no. But victory can also mean gaining ground, as in battle, winning more blue states than anyone since Reagan. This means the numbers aren't compared directly with the biggest winner (Napoleon vs De Gaulle) but with the direct predecessor (Coty vs De Gaulle). In any case my head is spinning for having read the transcript once:

Re: OT: Fox News openly calls Trump a liar (link)
At this point, he could be like Eric Cartman and really believe is false world he is creating in is mind and not be lying on purpose.
For example:
We got 306 because people came out and voted like they've never seen before so that's the way it goes
http://www.cnn.com/2016/11/11/politics/popular-vote-turnout-2016/
45% of adults who live in the US did not participate on election day.
Trump got less vote relative to the population in age to vote than Romney did in 2012, it is Clinton that got much less vote than Obama, the republican just maintenant itself and didn't loose as much ground versus the previous election because of a more motivated base, but was not more popular than the usual amount of vote in recent time.
People voted much more in 2008 than in 2016, does he does not know that, is it possible to not know that?
For your reasoning, it could in that sense, maybe factoring surprise factor, but is quote is:
I guess it was the biggest electoral college win since Ronald Reagan.
It is hard to imagine in what way that statement can be seen as having any truth to it.

Fox News is probably the only mainstream news network that's decent unlike the liberal networks (i.e. damn near everyone else) who just want to make Trump look bad come hell or high water. but the more they do that the more people don't even hear them/take them seriously.

I love how half of you morons believe that CNN is truth and FOX is lies while the other half of you morons thinks FOX is truth and CNN is lies.
They are both lies.

Yeah I agree. By the way, I have a question.

Agree they both lie, but for CNN it's probably 50%. For Fox, more like 95%

Shepard Smith is too good for Fox News.

I heard on this board that Fox News is the sole source of "information" for over half of the United States population. That's like one hundred sixty millions of people. Wow!

I used to think that, too, back when I never watched Fox and accepted the left's propaganda. Fox is way more balanced than MSNBC or CNN.
