Michael J. Anderson : he's not credited in the cast list of the new Twin Peaks season

he's not credited in the cast list of the new Twin Peaks season

that's a shame

Re: he's not credited in the cast list of the new Twin Peaks season

It seems he's had some disputes with Lynch, Frost, and Showtime.

As much as he'll be missed, his line in the final episode "When you see me again, it won't be me." may be a loophole to explain his absence.

He is not in it.

It's that man again!!

Re: he's not credited in the cast list of the new Twin Peaks season

It is sad as I loved him on TP (and Carnivale), but he sabotaged himself. By his own admission, he turned down whatever salary Showtime offered him, even though his two most prominent roles of the past decade have been guest spots on 'Adventure Time' and 'Scooby-Doo' (both parodying his iconic TP role). Any sane person with an interest in a continued acting career would have taken the very high-profile TP S3 gig. Yet on his Facebook profile, he blames "the Jewish mob in Hollywood" for arbitrarily labeling him a Nazi and blacklisting him. Riiiiiight. It couldn't have just been moronic career moves, or rubbing people the wrong way due to paranoia and antisemitism.

His reaction to the breakdown of negotiations on TP was a bizarre tirade about how Mark Frost and Showtime don't want him back because they decided to ditch the supernatural elements and turn the new season of TP into a soap opera "resembling 'Portlandia.'" (For those who don't know, 'Portlandia' is a sketch comedy featuring Kyle MacLachlan, which doesn't remotely resemble a soap opera.)

Good riddance to Michael J. Anderson the actor. However, I will miss the Man from Another Place in the new season of TP, and I hold MJA entirely responsible for his absence.

Re: he's not credited in the cast list of the new Twin Peaks season

my knee jerk reaction was "if twin peaks loses its supernatural elements ill be supremely pissed" and then i thought about it, they can't just forget about bob inhabiting coop at the end of the series

This season will focus a lot on the supernatural and will deal with Coop's possession; Mark Frost has said so in several interviews. The question is how they'll depict Bob without the actor Frank Silva, who passed away in 1995. Although the Man from Another Place was scripted, MJA scuttled that ship. One-Armed Mike and the Giant will be back.

Re: he's not credited in the cast list of the new Twin Peaks season

Aaaaand he just posted a really ugly diatribe on his Facebook implying that David Lynch raped his daughter and had Jack Nance murdered. Seems like Anderson really doesn't feel like acting in Hollywood again.

Ironically, he posted this rant as a caption on his profile pic - which shows him in the Red Room. Funny how he doesn't seem to have a guilty conscience about continuing to profit from the show.
