Arrow : Again with stealing Batman characters . . .

Again with stealing Batman characters . . .

Talia Al Ghul as "Black Canary" for Arrow. How could the writers and executives have no shame for this. They are a different characters! This is just a total shoe horn . . . and oh god I really hope they're not doing the romance plot between Queen-Talia, that would ruin the whole mythology for the character, it's like Batman didn't exist and Oliver Queen IS Batman in this which just total clusterfvck and getting more strayed from the supposedly Oliver queen/Green Arrow.

Re: Again with stealing Batman characters . . .

Talia isn't Black Canary.

95% of the characters retards think the show "stole" from Batman are characters that have a history with Green Arrow and his mythos and are entirely fair to use. So which one's do you think are stolen?

Re: Again with stealing Batman characters . . .

Talia is not BC
And the only one disrespecting characters are you for degrading them to one thing Talia is a dc character not a Batman character

Re: Again with stealing Batman characters . . .

That is true. Talia has been a part of Birds of Prey (which also originated in Batman's world - Gotham but not necessarily in Batman comics). To my knowledge they have never had Green Arrow meet Talia or any al Ghul before Arrow. Black Canary should have been from Gotham or to make sense of the metahuman Canary cry from Central City or thereabouts. This new girl is from Hub City - where is that? Would that be within the blast radius?

Re: Again with stealing Batman characters . . .

It didn't mater if they never met in the comics as long as she doesn't rape Oliver its a new story ant that is what is important

And if wary interviews are true Tina was a Central City cop or Somthing

Re: Again with stealing Batman characters . . .

She was in Central City when the particle accelerator exploded.

Re: Again with stealing Batman characters . . .

Not Talia it's "Tina" who is the new BC.

Re: Again with stealing Batman characters . . .

And the fandom that refuses to be satisfied strikes again!

Because supporting your thesis is tough, but throwing adjectives is easy.

Re: Again with stealing Batman characters . . .

GA has good story lines and characters in the comic book. The writers could actually do some research and see that instead of having to rip off Batman.

Again with a fail troll thred

Poor trollng is obvious.......You must be blind or making up lies TALIA WAS IN THE FLASHBACK

YOU HAVE FAIL THIS TROLL THREAD

TALIA AL GHUL is a DC Character so they can use her because of her deathstroke connection.

Re: Again with a fail troll thred

The Batman rip-off complaints need to be thoroughly debunked once and for all-

Deadshot: Yes, he was introduced as a Batman character, but has over time become more of a DC character, owing to Suicide Squad. And he has clashed with Green Arrow in the comics.

Deathstroke: Again a DC character (originally a Teen Titans villain) who's clashed with both Batman and Green Arrow in the comics.

The Al-Ghul family: Admittedly the one example where these are primarily Batman characters, but they have been prominent in the wider DCU too.

As far as the Nolanverse influences go, Guggenheim and Berlanti have NEVER shied away from admitting that the Nolanverse was a MASSIVE influence on 'Arrow', especially in the first couple of seasons.

And Green Arrow as a character originally was very much a Batman rip-off in the comics.

About the only time they overdid the Batman influence was the whole 'Oliver as heir to Ra's al Ghul' arc in Season 3. And even that played out very differently to the way it typically has in the Batman comics.

I've debunked it every time someone comes along. They just keep coming. Like a plague of zombies.

Re: Again with stealing Batman characters . . .

Okay guys, I was wrong on Talia becoming BC. I really thought the Talia from flashback scene was the same woman at the bar scene/ending scene of the last episode. But nevertheless, adding more & more new characters from Batman mythos without a proper introduction (which is very likely) is a pretty bad move. There are still many of green arrow characters that not yet showed up. Also who the hell is this Tina again? Is she a comic book character? Is she other version of BC in the comics? or is this just the writers pulling this character out of thin air with no consideration whatsoever . . .

Re: Again with stealing Batman characters . . .

Yes, the end of the episode reveals who Tina is...

She reveals herself to be Dinah Drake. That's the name of the 1940s Black Canary from the JSA days.

Re: Again with stealing Batman characters . . .

Talia isn't, and never was, Black Canary. She's her own badass character in the DC universe. Also, how can a show "steal" characters from another show if they're all under the same publisher, DC. Ever heard of Justice League, Justice League Dark, there are a lot of characters that cross into other characters' lives because it's DC. There are tons of cameos and crossovers with characters under the same publisher. There is no "romantic plot" between Talia and Oliver because everyone knows Talia is primarily tied to Bruce Wayne, while even being the mother of their son, Damian. It's not like they're introducing a new character.

You should pay attention and wait until the episode is over.

Re: Again with morons NOT PAYING ATTENTION

Don't you just love the enraged morons who come here and pompously post with indignation about something they got wrong because they didn't pay attention to what was clearly and unambiguously shown on screen?

Talia is not Black Canary on this show, did you watch it at all? And nothing you wrote here really does make sense or true.

Nolan, I love you forever!
