That would be my second choice after Forbidden Planet. I didn't like the more recent version as well.

Forbidden Planet (1956) is my all-time favorite. I see you included When Worlds Collide (1951). I was traumatized by that movie when I was six. I was the only kid left behind at the theatre out of a group from a birthday party. More unsettling was that no one missed me. I had to call home.

The Incredible Shrinking Man is my all-time favorite science fiction movie. I can never get through the last scene without tears in my eyes.

Scott Carey: I was continuing to shrink, to become… what? The infinitesimal? What was I? Still a human being? Or was I the man of the future? If there were other bursts of radiation, other clouds drifting across seas and continents, would other beings follow me into this vast new world? So close - the infinitesimal and the infinite. But suddenly, I knew they were really the two ends of the same concept. The unbelievably small and the unbelievably vast eventually meet - like the closing of a gigantic circle. I looked up, as if somehow I would grasp the heavens. The universe, worlds beyond number, God's silver tapestry spread across the night. And in that moment, I knew the answer to the riddle of the infinite. I had thought in terms of man's own limited dimension. I had presumed upon nature. That existence begins and ends is man's conception, not nature's. And I felt my body dwindling, melting, becoming nothing. My fears melted away. And in their place came acceptance. All this vast majesty of creation, it had to mean something. And then I meant something, too. Yes, smaller than the smallest, I meant something, too. To God, there is no zero. I still exist!

Forbidden Planet. It's one of my all time favorite SF films. 10/10

But I own several others and have watched them many times over.

The Fly - not as disgusting as the 86 remake, I think it's more effective 9/10

Invasion of the Body Snatchers - time for a rewatch, love the Finney novel 8/10

The War of the Worlds - not the most faithful adaptation, I think it remains the best 9/10

The Day the Earth Stood Still - I didn't love this film like I expected, still very good and well worth watching 8/10

The Incredible Shrinking Man - incredible achievement, awe-inspiring 10/10

Them! - giant insect films rarely work for me but this is an exception 10/10

The Thing from Another World - after watching Carpenter's, I fully expected to find this lacking, I was wrong, I enjoy it just as much 10/10

Destination Moon - with SF writer Robert Heinlein this film does a wonderful job of trying to be scientifically accurate and still remain a thrilling film 9/10

When Worlds Collide - somewhat of a guilty pleasure, I realize its faults but I still admire the attempt 8/10

DEVIL Girl from Mars AND Journey to the CENTER of the Earth! OR I DON'T recall EVER watching the LATTER. I know I've NEVER seen the FORMER.

I've seen every movie on the list, many of them during their theatrical release, and own all but four on DVD.

Devil Girl from Mars is a bad movie. It was adapted from a stage play and, except for the arrival and departure of the flying saucer, is just as static. Patricia Laffan as the alien is a Martian dominatrix in leather looking for men to repopulate her planet and there is a giant robot that looks like a refrigerator with a built-in death ray.

Journey to the Center of the Earth is highly enjoyable. There are some amazing set pieces, including an underground ocean and some lizards at the end subbing as Dimetrodons. James Mason is an added plus, Pat Boone is competent, although you may want to skip past his obligatory song.
