Yes, it was an unwise number. Purportedly, her overconfidence was based on her past experience of going through Russia customs at the airport with essentially the same amount, at least in the year prior. But this year, she flew there and was immediately detained a couple/few weeks after Russia invaded Ukraine, and the Biden Administration had made its position (and armament funding) abundantly clear to Russia.

I agree, entitled to an extent that distorted her judgment and erased even minimal caution. 9 years is absurd and is either bargaining chip status or vengeance. For her sake, I'll hope it's the former. At least she knows how to throw a punch, according to her criminal record here.

I voted in favor of this gal going to prison. If you do the crime, then you gotta do the time.

When Brittney Griner gets released (and we all know that she eventually will get released at some point), I can't wait to watch all of her Haters whine, yell, and complain over it.

They absolutely deserve to get that "L".

They will probably be whining, yelling, and complaining things like "she got special treatment!", "it was an unfair trade!", "she shouldn't have gotten out!", or "it was rigged!".

I wouldn't be surprised if some of them even started attacking, insulting, and disrespecting all of Brittney Griner's family, friends, fans, and all of the people that helped get her released.
