Tourist Trap : Avoid the Blue-Ray

Avoid the Blue-Ray

It's missing five minutes: https://halloweenlove.com/a-warning-about-full-moons-tourist-trap-blu-ray/

See it on Last Drive-In and/or stick with the DVD (or VHS if you have one).

Re: Avoid the Blue-Ray

A show on Shudder hosted by… Joe Bob Briggs!

Re: Avoid the Blue-Ray

does it have that hot brunette goth chick who was in the in seach of darkness documentary?

you have to watch this documentary it is the best slasher mvoie doc ever made by far bc it is the most definitive and it goes over each slasher movie individually that made the most impact on people in the '80s and after. you can watch it for free on here.

i read that chiller is horrible bc they edit their horror movies. they edited stitches which is the best clown horror movie ever made.

so which parts or part of tourist trap did they not include in this blu ray?

i have to say that it's cover is awesome bc the killer has a camera in his hand which is clever bc tourists and tourists in tourists traps are popularly known to use a camera.

very sad to read that charles band is a horrible person now bc i always loved him and his personality and spirit whenever i'd see him in a promo bit for a full moon movie.

and to me i loved him bc of his movies, they are the quirky, b movies that i love, jsut the kind of b movies that i love, the style of them and the stories in them and the characters that they have. they have the kid imagination and magic of being a kid in all of them.

i always thought of charles band as the new roger corman bc they both produced 100s of movies that are b movies and very cheaply made. also both producers produced movies that have a sense of fun and humor in them.

Re: Avoid the Blue-Ray

I still haven't seen the documentary, but I just looked it up and yes.

I'm not sure about Chiller, but The Last Drive-In is on Shutter so it doesn't matter. The version of TT shown by Joe Bob is the same one as on the VHS/DVD (uncut).

As for what was cut, I don't know; I only read that the Blue-Ray is missing scenes so I never bothered to watch that version.

Re: Avoid the Blue-Ray

just an fyi, for future reference blu ray is spelled blu-ray not blue-ray ok?

it's not like they can trick us on the running time of the blu ray by saig it runs faster than the dvd bc a dvd runs at the same seped as a blu ray. they can fool people if they say a vhs tape is more running time than a dvd or blu ray though bc vhs tapes might run slower than blu rays and dvds.

Re: Avoid the Blue-Ray

I heard speculation that the Blu-Ray is a European version that they just didn't check to make sure it was complete, but that is only a speculation. I was just reading this: http://www.dvdexotica.com/2021/03/controversial-blus-tourist-trap.html in the hopes of finding more answers.

Re: Avoid the Blue-Ray

thats not right to cheat out all the fans of this film and you know that they are devout if they bouhgt this film on blu ray so they are disrespecting the most important consumer people of this film, die hard fans of this film.

Re: Avoid the Blue-Ray

I think they just got a lazy and didn't check the print.

Re: Avoid the Blue-Ray

why release this film cut anyway? what do they gain from doing this? oh maybe it's then they don't have to remaster or restore all of the film maybe that is the reason.

Re: Avoid the Blue-Ray…

This was on Rifftrax earlier this OVERNIGHT. I MISSED it by being TOO LATE for it.

"THAT'S SOME BAD SHIT, HARRY!".

Re: Avoid the Blue-Ray…

Ah man! I didn't even know about it, but it shouldn't be a surprise seeing as how they seen to be on a mission to riff every movie in existence. I wonder how they would riff the scene where the villain is covering a girl's face in plaster and telling her exactly how she'll die. I find that scene too disturbing to laugh at, so Rifftrax would really have a challenge on their hands.
