Mickey Rooney : For a guy 5'2.

For a guy 5'2.

He was apparently quite the stud.

He's got some serious notches: Ava Gardner in her gloriously youthful splendor; in his book he stated he bedded Lana Turner and got her pregnant; the women he married, most appeared to be stunners; not to mention, all the studio gals who hung around MGM when he was the biggest star in the world. One can only imagine.

Re: For a guy 5'2.

Just goes to show how much ego has to do with sexual prowess, I guess.

Dennis Miller said tonight that Rooney with Gardner must have been like a porn version of Gulliver's Travels.

Re: For a guy 5'2''

Judy Garland was not stunning enough for Mickey's tastes. Neither for Andy Hardy!

She was one of the few women in his life significantly shorter than he was at 4' 11½".

Re: For a guy 5'2''

I believe because Rooney worked so much with Judy, he considered her more of a sister. No question, though, he loved her very much. They should've been married. I believe they both would've been better off because of it. Particularly Judy.

They should've been married.
What do we know about Judy's feelings for Mickey? Would she have accepted, had he asked?

Re: For a guy 5'2''

I think there's no question about it. In those days, Mickey could get practically any women he wanted. Everybody loved him. Since they had such chemistry together, why wouldn't she?

Another was Bonita Granville who played Kay Wilson in two of the Andy Hardy movies. She was 5' even. I have no idea if they had an offscreen relationship.
