Liked him in The Hitcher, Far Out Man, and his voice work as the Reverse Flash in the animated DC movies Flashpoint Paradox and Suicide Squad Hell to Pay.

Howell was likeable enough and easy on the eyes, though I think his acting chops were just mediocre.
He was excellent in The Hitcher - '86, but that was a mood suspense piece and excellently cast and crafted. Pity it failed at the box-office, (perhaps too intelligent and artsy for the mainstream crowd), but its cult reputation has been earned.

Also that movie has two amazing people in it-the late Rutger Hauer and Jennifer Jason Leigh.

Yes, good actor. I saw him in a bad horror film (Hoboken Hollow) more than a few years back and I couldn't help but notice that he's aged considerably since his '80s heyday. He's no longer the young whippersnapper that he was in Red Dawn and The Hitcher but I actually kinda like his appearance now, he looked too boyish before.
