Politics : What is with so many defending Putin? Are these people kidding?

Are Putin defenders just trolling? Are they being paid by Russia to spread lies? Are they just not that smart? I can't think of any other reason why a rational person would be defending Putin. Putin is a tyrant that has murdered political rivals for years. Now he's invading peaceful nations and killing innocent people. There is nothing good about Putin.

Putin didn't start the war, Ukraine is full of neo-Nazis and oppresses ethnic Russians. Biden funded the war also by cutting off America's own oil supply, therefore making Russia richer and more powerful than ever. America's nuclear arsenal is also so far behind Russia's under Biden that it isn't funny. I blame two people for this war, Zelensky and Biden.

Ukraine isn't a "peaceful nation". There's been a vicious war going on there for 8 years now between Ukrainian government forces and pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine. Thousands have died.
