I'm sticking with Windows 10, although they've never really improved on Windows 7. That was a perfect setup. Not too bloated and didn't have all the little crappy bits that 10 has.

My super smart niece who works with computers told me I should buy a new computer for that very reason. So I did so in 2021, replacing my old 2010 computer.

why new instead of just updating the OS?
not a criticism, but curious as to why you needed to upgrade? perhaps because of TPM and secure boot features of newer releases.

I have an HP with AMD Ryzen 3 PRO 2100GE w/ Radeon Vega Graphics and I hate it.
It's a workhorse of a PC, but AMD sucks balls with it's lagginess. my older laptop with intel graphics runs smoother with only 4 gigs of ram.

All in ones are very cool! I especially like that there are only two wires, unlike the maze of wires on the old one.

With 8, and I have been told 7 was the same, it ran very smoothly and booted fast even with my now deceased pc's specs of a mechanical hard drive and only 4 gb's ram. My newer pc has 8 gig's and I upgraded to a solid state drive, but I still boot to ten seconds of black screen.

it's just windows 10 with a different look?
I mean every time they released a new version (except for vista) it was an improvement in function as well as style. But this is 10 with a centered taskbar, forward facing icons and round corners.
