She's really showed her ass lately, and even some of the ones who have partially believed in her demented trolling for years have backed off that stance. I've done some research, and there are ZERO benefits available to her at her advanced age based on being the daughter of a veteran, disabled or not. Even the healthcare through the VA she might have been eligible would have been cut off decades ago when she was in her 20's. So this entire storyline is nothing but outright trolling, much like everything else she says including her inexplicable shift from being a schizophrenic to full on retarded.

I looked on her facebook, her aunt barb rarely posts to her now. That girl she accused of thieving, I think she was removed because Christina is dangerous and manipulative.

I'm not sure of what the whole situation is.

Agreed. Legally her group home must provide internet access. I assume to keep in contact with family. Places such as this are not good for this population. We are her audience. If you knew how few responsibilities the population has, you would understand why she comes her for entertainment. She gets all the attention she wants. I can assure you, this is a drop in the bucket compared to what the group home encounters.

I'm sadly aware of what these group homes provide in the way of interaction.

With the occupational center that we provided, they had more interaction with the people and everyday life. They had some structure.

A few weeks ago, she said something about filling out forms in order to get into one of these programs. I don't know if she was serious, or if she was just farting around, once again…
In any case, at this point? I no longer believe anything she has to say.

We actually provide a lot of activities. Prior to covid programs were available for all day access as well. When those programs are taken away, it really harms this population. The population craves structure, routine and interaction. They need to reopen these programs.

Also, we can offer all the activity we want. It truly is up to the individual how much they participate. I feel THIS is Christinas playground. It is fine as long as she isn't wasting peoples time and getting the group home in trouble they don't deserve.

I see Christina as harmless and stories are made up about her own stories, which could be or could not be true.

If she's schizophrenic, and I believe she has plenty of issues going on, I have no reason to disbelieve her, or have any beef with her. She seems a lot less harmless than many others around here and I don't find her toxic.

This place is a part of Christina's social interaction. Its fine for her to be on here. Her thought patterns do tend to meander, as though she can't quite keep on track, or gets challenged easy, or isn't quite sure of how to express herself lucidly. I have no problem with this though and like to give reasonable encouragement.

She is harmless. I never said she was going to harm anyone or toxic. She has the right to do as she pleases EXCEPT waste other people's time. That is what she is doing when she applies for jobs she knows she will not work. I explained that there are agencies to set her up with jobs she CAN handle. She can use those.

As for this site, if you feel this is the best social interaction she can get, alrighty then I do not think it is a great place for her to be. This population does NOT do sarcasm. They usually cannot tell the difference from sincere and non-sincere.

Reasonable encouragement is wonderful so long as it is not wasting someone else's time. I agree, encouragement is always appreciated.

She still has the right to waste other people's time too. Christina is not the only person on this planet who is a tad confused.

She perhaps wants to be "normal", (so to speak), and prove to herself she can be. If she has been offered jobs, then she must have made an impression at interview process. NO ONE is beholden to take a job offered, especially in this chaotic competitive world that has deliberately been designed this way by the establishment.

This is all par for the course and if Christina holds back on a job offer, someone else will willingly step up.

I never claimed this was the "best" social interaction for her, but it is some social interaction. Why are you and I on here? Is this the best place for us?

All I am reading on this thread is wrongheaded judgements from posters. Now, I don't follow other social media apart from you tube and twitter, so I can't comment on what else Christina does. I have seen a couple of her music you tube videos that she has posted on here.

If she is applying to the job to work, then SURE! I have tried to help her. Lead her in directions that will assist her in jobs, housing etc. What she does, or doesn't do, with her life is on her. She should not be applying for jobs she doesn't want. There is a program that will set her up with as many jobs as she wants. She can quit that day if she wants and the employer KNOWS that is likely to happen.

As for wrongheaded posters, I think people are frustrated. People have attempted help, support and offered her time. They are not wrongheaded; it is their observation of the situation. Like I said, hopefully now she is receiving extra money, this behavior will stop. I am not going to encourage a behavior that isn't fair to others. I have offered her a lot of other encouragement, however.

This is cyber time. I can't get too invested, yet largely come on here to communicate with those posters that I do like to flap the gums, or fingers on here, with. I don't even bear most a thought unless logged in.

I just feel there are stories being made up about Christina that sound like distorted takes to me. This thread in particular is started by a troll, who is then accusing someone else of being a troll. We are all trolling in a sense, but its when a genuine troll is deliberately out to stir the pot and not offer anything of value. I don't see Christina doing that, just expressing herself as the thought comes within her own means.

Christina isn't applying for top notch high end professional positions either. If its say a fast food outlet, peeps will come and go as the wind. Even those that don't have mental issues may only last a day or two. I don't feel Christina would hold down any job. It would be too much stress for her with all else that goes on in her mind, but trying could be considered therapy too, on her own means.

I feel she should focus on her music if she has that ability. That would be the best outlet for her.

Sarcasm is a low brow type of humor, but at times it can come across as pointed and relevant depending on who its directed at. I think it always best to take the emphatic approach with Christina.

I am never sarcastic with her. I never will be. She simply cannot comprehend sarcasm and joking. She takes what is said at face value.

I have always suspected and was sorta on the fence but now I am feeling more convinced that she is after she gets another job at a nationwide chain, (Compared to just a local place like, say, "Fred's Fish n Chips" or "Paul's Pizza.") and then right after getting the job just happens to come into some money to give her the latest excuse to quit the newest job.
If she quits so quickly then why in the hell would the next place hire her with such a short job history?
They will want people who are reliable and work long term at a place for more than a couple days here and there at a time.

I do believe she does it for attention, as this population does. She gets the attention, so she continues. As for benefits, what she applied for us his social security. It won't be a great amount added but she will likely get it. However, it is a long process. From what i know ot takes a while to be okayed. I know all of this because i have a family member that received them as well.

I honestly hope she is trolling about the applications to jobs. If she keeps doing it after numerous people telling her it is wrong…. That is bad. I know it will tick plenty of people off but i deal with this daily in real life. My clients are more intellectually disabled, and they know right from wrong. They don't act like this. So, i am fully prepared for the hate.
