Hit and Run : Has already almost tripled it's budget
Re: Has already almost tripled it's budget
It still has to be dissapointing to Dax though. He and Brad were on Howard Stern's show last week predicting 40m in domestic.
Re: Has already almost tripled it's budget
It did bomb though, the studio that purchased the rights spent about 20 million to advertise it.
Needless to say, there's a good chance they'll have to take a loss on this one. They'll be rushing this to DVD to keep people from forgetting about it.

Re: Has already almost tripled it's budget
you'd have to be idiotic to spend $20m marketing a $2m movie.
Re: Has already almost tripled it's budget
That's the only way to get exposure. The budget is almost irrelevant. Some horror movies are made for $5m and get $15-20 million in marketing. When you have Bradley Cooper in a film you go for it!
Give me $2m and Bradley Cooper and I'll do better than $6m at the box office!!

Re: Has already almost tripled it's budget
I still wouldn't write it off as a flop, if anything it's just a blimp.
Re: Has already almost tripled it's budget
the only reason it wasn't a "flop" as you say is because bradly cooper did it for almost free. If he wasn't friends with Dax they wouldn't have been able to afford him and the movie would have made nothing in the box office.
An alcoholic is someone you don't like who drinks as much as you do.
Re: Has already almost tripled it's budget
The studio that distributed this is over 10 million dollars in the hole, with no signs of recouping it, what constitutes a flop to you?
Re: Has already almost tripled it's budget
Wow, so it tripled its budget? So it's made 6 million? Oh. Alert the press. The movie was terrible and it shows.
Re: Has already almost tripled it's budget
Keep in mind this is only domestic box office. There's still foreign territories, then DVD sales, and any digital downloading. This movie could still easily make money.
