Police Academy : we need to come up with a police academy watching day like friday the 13th has

we need to come up with a police academy watching day like friday the 13th has

so i have this tradition of watching a bunch of friday the 13th movies on friday the 13th. but what day could we make for us watching a bunch of police academy movies in a row, a marathon?

president's day? maybe? memorial day maybe?

lukejbarnett

Re: we need to come up with a police academy watching day like friday the 13th h

memorial day

Re: we need to come up with a police academy watching day like friday the 13th h

dud duh dud duh da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da . this is the theme song of the pa movies.

memorial day but why? memorial day is to remember all the american soldiers who died in american wars but it's the best day i guess for this day. it's just too bad we don't have a more specific to the pa movies day to celebrate these classic films on.

too bad we don't have a day to honor and show respect love and suport the police officers and workers in the us. we should have police day. we owe it to them all. well the good police worksers anyway. it is inexcusable that we dont have this day, a national holiday for all the good ones.

lukejbarnett

Re: we need to come up with a police academy watching day like friday the 13th h

i was going to look up to see if there was a policeman's day, and i think there should be if there isn't (also a fireman and an ambulance man day) but then i thought how great memorial day weekend used to be, hanging out, maybe getting drunk, the weather is nice and we used to watch alot of comedies during that weekend anyway. it makes sense to me.

men are men and women are women.

Re: we need to come up with a police academy watching day like friday the 13th h

so what they should do is make a national holiday be for not only the police workers but for the firemen and medical workers, like paramedics who save lives everyday.

heck if we can have a freaking donut day and squirrel day we need to have a national people helper and saver day.

are you like me in that you love the friday the 13th films in the '80s more than any other film?

lukejbarnett

Re: we need to come up with a police academy watching day like friday the 13th h

i would think the police academy films and the friday 13th films helped make me who i am today. i also like the lethal weapon films though.

Cool.
Do you get blowjobs from hookers under your desk, then scream out 'I'm too old for this ****!'.

Re: we need to come up with a police academy watching day like friday the 13th h

yes. but one thing that disturbed me for a few years after i rewatched the first police academy as an adult. this was that lassard never actually found out that it wasn't mahoney that gave him the bj. but then a couple years later i got around to watching part 3 (i think) and there was a scene of lassard telling the story at some police event and having a laugh about it. it cleared everything up. that i think is excellent writing and proves the police academy series is smarter and superior than other film franchises like oceans 11 or somethng.

men are men and women are women.

Re: we need to come up with a police academy watching day like friday the 13th h

Joking aside, I enjoy the first four. Watched the first one a few weeks back and it still holds up.

Re: we need to come up with a police academy watching day like friday the 13th h

do you mean you were able to come out of your shell socially or personality wise bc of the humor in the friday the 13th films and the police academy films?

so cool. but you didn't answer the question are they your favorite films? friday the 13th parts 1-8?

i never loved the lethal weapon series. but i've only watched parts 2 and 3 never watched 1 or 4.

lukejbarnett

Re: we need to come up with a police academy watching day like friday the 13th h

yeah, basically, out of my shell, series like f13 and pa gives people with like minds something to connect about and joke about together.

they are one of my favorite series of films and definitely in my top 10. i'd havet o actually make a list to see if they fall into top 5.

lethal weapon 1 is the best one.

men are men and women are women.

Re: we need to come up with a police academy watching day like friday the 13th h

for me the pa series isn't anywhere near as beloved as the friday the 13th series. though i do deeply love the pa series and it has a special place in my heart bc of it being so much like the friay the 13th series and bc of the things it brought as far as originalilty and entertaining characters, stories, and situations

what about newer slasher movies? any notable movies you'd like to recommend that are like the fridy the 13th series? i do, number 1 bc it is so awesome, in fact tha best slasher movie i've watched and my one of favorites i've watched made since the '00s is lumberjack man. also porkchop and porkcop II are awesome.

there has never been a slasher film that has been made since 1992 that has brought such a specific '80s slasher film look and feel as much as lumberjack man.

lukejbarnett

Re: we need to come up with a police academy watching day like friday the 13th h

people seem to put down the police academy films more often, i think those people need to rewatch them and see that they are classic. i think they just make fun of them because of some sort of hive-mind opinion that exists relating to the series without people really giving an educated opinion. the friday films have the advantage of having a more mature air to them with all the gore and suspense mixed with the nudity. people are ore comfortable admitting to liking the series.

i don't know too many of the modern horrors films/seies. i will check out lumberjack man and these porkchop movies.

men are men and women are women.

Re: we need to come up with a police academy watching day like friday the 13th h

what does hive-mind opinion mean?

i think that a lot of people malign, disrespect the friday the 13th films made in the '80s. to me it's like a childish movie series to most people, the mainstream. it's gotten this bad reputation as '80s mindless crap which is unfounded bc if they ever sat down and actually wathced these films the films from the '80s they would appreciate them greatly.

also one thing i think is interesting is the majority of people think that all of them from the '80s are the same but each film is quite different and unique to all the other films. they all have a different story to tell about a character. it's a saga.

these films are the horror star wars. do you agree with this?

lukejbarnett

Re: we need to come up with a police academy watching day like friday the 13th h

hive-mind opinions, to me, are like the majority opinion that comes from one person and everyone else just takes that opinion as their own without ever really thinking about it, only trusting the opinion of the one person they heard it from because that person, as dumb as they may be, said it with such confidence that people just blindly believe it, accept it and repeat it as if it was their own opinion without doing any actual research.

horror star wars is a good description.

men are men and women are women.

lukejbarnett

Re: we need to come up with a police academy watching day like friday the 13th h

i'm here back a forth, if you want to talk f13, i'm down but i'm not always on here so i might answer sometimes until later. i love the f13 films but am not so well versed in them but i do know which ones i like.

men are men and women are women.

Re: we need to come up with a police academy watching day like friday the 13th h

so you are a fan but not a super fan, die hard fan, not an expert, or authority on them?

i'm knowledgeable on them but not super knowledgeable on them bc i don't know all the names of the characters or actors who are in them. for some reason i never found out their character names or actor names.

lukejbarnett

Re: we need to come up with a police academy watching day like friday the 13th h

yes, i am not an authority on them. i don't know all the character names and don't remember how all the kills go down. which i think is a good thing because it makes the films more enjoyable to watch. i watched them all last september and that was pretty much the first time in 25 years. i liked them all but thought 6 and 7 weren't as enjoyable as the rest. i didn't watch jason x or the remake during my marathon.

wait a sec no way you have f the 13th marathons like me? do you do these on friday the 13th like me?

what do you mean it makes the films more enjoyable to watch when you don't remember how all the kills go down?

that is a huge marathon! 10 movies. how long did this marathon go on for? 25 years? doesn't sound like you are a fan. are you? that was pretty much the first time you had watched any of them 1996. do you mean the first time you've watched all the old, '80s films in a marathon since about 1997?

i don't really like freddy v. jason at all. it's too different to be a friday the 13th film. it's more a a nightmare on elm street film in atmosphere, look, feel.

well sadly i haven't watched a friday the 13th film in about 10 years now. really a tragedy they can't make a new one ever. it's been way too long since the last which was 13 years ago now???

i wish over the years i could do f13 marathons on f13. usually i'd have to work and couldn't relax and watch a marathon knowing i have to get up at 5am to go to my job. i watched the marathon during the pandemic when my mind was more at ease. 2 films a night.

if i don't remember exactly how a film pans out i can enjoy it over and over again because it's not boring to me because i don't know what's going to happen. that's why i don;t always pay full attention to a lot of scifi films and tv shows when i watch them because i like to watch them over and over again and i see the details fill in over each watch.

i'm a big fan, jason is a big part of the world when i grew up. the first time i watched f13 was with my family when they appeared on hbo. i remember at least watching the first 4 with my family. after that i watched the rest with my brother and cousins or alone. i watched a few of them a couple times over the years, mainly 4,5,6,7,9. i watched them at least once again in the early/mid nineties as a teenager when i was really into horror movies.

i didn't like fvsj wen i saw it in the theater but i liked it after i did the marathon in 2020. i was happy to be back watching horror movies again after a long time. it was more like an elm street film, more like a fantasy film. i would rather a more gritty realistic friday the 13th type film but it was fun.

you have to watch the documentary on slasher movies in the '80s called in search of darkness. you can watch it on here for free. it is the best documentary i've ever watched about horror movies. it meticulously goes over every single important and popular slasher movie made in the '80s. so year by year they go over all these films.

each film they go over at least for a minute and sometimes 2 minutes. it is long it runs about 4 hours and every single part is worth watching and it's very insightful.

it is the ultimate slasher film fan documentary or special. essential viewing. it has interviews with so many actors and directors and sp effects artists who made these films. like joe dante, john carpenter, sean s. cunningham, harry manfredini, and even joe bob briggs.

when you mentioned hbo it made me remember the part in this doc where they actually play the old '80s hbo theme song. it really brought me back to when i was a kid when i heard this song.

so it sounds like you've watched them a few of them a couple times since 1997 but is it that you hadn't watched any of them in 10 years until you just watched them last year?

this is why the last film the reboot is better than freddy vs. jason. it's bc the reboot feels and looks and has the friday the 13th atmosphere whereas fvsj doesn't

did you watch any of them in the last 25 years other than last year?

wait other than part 5 about 20 years ago you haven't watched a film other than last september? why did you not watch any of them other than those 2 times in the last 25 years?

exactly back in the '80s hbo used to be all about the movies not about tv shows and not about their made movies.

overnight camping thing? cool. so in your trailer?

there is a magical and special feeling i get when i think about these films. i think of trees, forests and camps, camp sites. it's intimate and personal to me. they comfort me when i think about them when i remember scenes, characters, moments. just being in forests and looking at forests makes me fondly go to these films essence, i can be there in the films bc i'm there in my mind.

i even thought of an idea in the '90s which was to create a friday the 13th theme park, amusement park, experience. to live as characters live in camping sites in these films, to try to get away from jason. to me i want to live there, in that world.

bc that is where i get the most comfort in my life watching these '80s films it's interesting how rob zombie said something similar in an episode of eli roth's history of horror season 1. he said with horror movies fans we want to live there in the world of horror movies. do you feel the same way about the '80s friday the 13th films?

i got more into science fiction and comedies after 2000. horror movies that were coming out were not like the ones i liked from the 70s and 80s. so i watched less and less of them, though i wished i could go back and watch the f13 films again as well as the freddy ones and other classic franchises.

i watched it in a van i think a friend of mine bought and returned just for the overnight trip.

after watching the marathon i was in the woods with a friend and it felt good knowing i watched those films again and could imagine what it would be like if jason was around. i'm happy i now once again have a basic good idea of what happens in each film and how they play out. i feel like they are part of me again.

"the van is on fire!" if you know this series you know exactly what i am talking about. you reminded me of this when you said you were in a van watching them.

this is one of my favorite scenes in part 3. which is my 2nd favorite f th 13th film. see i love the party atmosphere going on an adventure in a van and drug taking kids in these films.

see so it looks like you do like knowing what happens in these films after all though i guess the kills you don't want to remember completely so they'll stay fresh with you.

so this van had electricity like in a trailer?

yeah ever since the '00s horror films just haven't been that great at all. we want them to be like they were in the '80s. one part of them one reason why they aren't good is bc cell phones. they always have to put an annoying cell phone that has to be in every scene which always totally takes you out of the moment

bc it reminds you of just how annoying cellphones are nowadays bc they are everywhere and always being used on the street or anywhere. also they just arent' cinematic, they are just tech devices that are tacky looking so they shouldn't be in movies bc of this. movies should be about people and stories situations, not objects.

it is very beautiful and rare me meeting someone as devoted and loving of this series as you are. but you are like me in the way of me not watching these movies anymore sadly as much as a fan as i am i just for some reason haven't gotten around to watching them in so many years, 10 years now.

i just haven't had the want to do this in a long time. i'm going to have to change this very soon. maybe next friday the 13th? in high school i used to look forward to the next friday the 13th so i could have a marathon.

that was the last time i on my own had friday the 13th marathons in the mid '90s.

i love that you like me have a connection and emotional attachment to these films.

so you agree with me that cell phones in movies are very annoying bc they remind you of everyone having to have a cell phone on them in real life which is annoying? and bc they are not cinematic bc they are so blatantly technology, too high tech? difference between them and say a hard wire at home phone for the '80s is they are a lot more technological and are mobile so then that means in movies they have to be in every scene so it's overkill.

so it doesnt look good always having one on a person in a movie which means the rule is in real life it is the same we shouldn't all have one on us at all times bc it is annoying to see. it would be like a person carrying around a tv set in their arms all the time in every scene that is how noticeable and annoying it is.

and it adds nothing to a movie so the only reason it exists is to show reality therefore it shouldn't exist in a movie bc if we did that for every technology we'd be hampered by tvs, dvds, radios, etc. in every movie. i watch movies to escape reality or see a better version of reality. sorry if that was too long, i was on a roll. :)

wait so a van can have electricity in it enough to power a vcr while the van is running? but isn't it bad to run a van's battery that long while the van isn't driving bc it is running down and you aren't using the van to drive? the time that you were watching movies?

i love how that one guy is so afraid of getting caught in the van with weed that someone might catch him that he puts it in his mouth and he swallows it.

i love that you brought the vhs bc that is how i always watched the friday the 13th films from the '80s and '90s. i own all the films from the '80s and '90s on vhs tape. do you also own all the films from the '80s and '90s on vhs tape? i have the first film on blu ray uncut it says, but i've never watched it.

i refused to buy any of them on dvd years ago bc they never put them out uncut on dvd. i made the decision to never buy them on dvd unless they are uncut bc otherwise why do that?

it would be a waste of money to me. my vhs tapes work perfectly. also there is a certain element of video and sound of old '80s horror movies on vhs tape that is lost when updated, remastered or restored on dvd or blu ray.

they look too clean, too clear which takes away their original intent and charm. the friday the 13th films deserve to be grainy and sound unclear bc that is how i remember them and how they were made and how they were when they first came out on vhs tape. so having them cleaned up takes away the atmospheres of them and the ambience of them.

do you agree with me on this, that you dont want to take away the feelings and atmosphere and ways they became memorable memories by having them cleaned up visually and auditorily? also that then you couldn't revisit them in the ways you first watched them?

part 4, the final chapter is my favorite. it has all the best parts of this series that makes this series so special and epic at the highest level, in fact higher than they are in any other film in this series. kill methods, kill scenes, makeup special effects, lovable, campy funny characters, great lines, the best and most imposing and a real human and best portrayed jason, a great, involving story, great party and fun times sense with fun characters, an overall sense of joy and fun with characters,

very horny teenagers or early 20s kids, and with a particular morgue worker who is hilarious, his line after he gets frightened is the funniest and best line in movie history, his swear words are so creative and funny, "jesus christmas, christmas ****", intense suspenseful and spooky scenes outside in the forest and inside the houses, the best hero in tommy jarvis, the best score, the most beautiful and hottest girls in sam and sara and the twins, the best nudity from sam, sara, and the twins, the best guy buddies in ted and jimbo, with their lines of being nerds who can't ever get laid.

then it is part 3, part 2, part 1, part 5, part 6, part 7, part 8, jason x, part 9.

how does your favorite list go?

wait so a van can have electricity in it enough to power a vcr while the van is running? but isn't it bad to run a van's battery that long while the van isn't driving bc it is running down and you aren't using the van to drive? the time that you were watching movies?

i love how that one guy is so afraid of getting caught in the van with weed that someone might catch him that he puts it in his mouth and he swallows it.

i love that you brought the vhs bc that is how i always watched the friday the 13th films from the '80s and '90s. i own all the films from the '80s and '90s on vhs tape. do you also own all the films from the '80s and '90s on vhs tape? i have the first film on blu ray uncut it says, but i've never watched it.

i refused to buy any of them on dvd years ago bc they never put them out uncut on dvd. i made the decision to never buy them on dvd unless they are uncut bc otherwise why do that?

it would be a waste of money to me. my vhs tapes work perfectly. also there is a certain element of video and sound of old '80s horror movies on vhs tape that is lost when updated, remastered or restored on dvd or blu ray.

they look too clean, too clear which takes away their original intent and charm. the friday the 13th films deserve to be grainy and sound unclear bc that is how i remember them and how they were made and how they were when they first came out on vhs tape. so having them cleaned up takes away the atmospheres of them and the ambience of them.

do you agree with me on this, that you dont want to take away the feelings and atmosphere and ways they became memorable memories by having them cleaned up visually and auditorily? also that then you couldn't revisit them in the ways you first watched them?

part 4, the final chapter is my favorite. it has all the best parts of this series that makes this series so special and epic at the highest level, in fact higher than they are in any other film in this series. kill methods, kill scenes, makeup special effects, lovable, campy funny characters, great lines, the best and most imposing and a real human and best portrayed jason, a great, involving story, great party and fun times sense with fun characters, an overall sense of joy and fun with characters,

very horny teenagers or early 20s kids, and with a particular morgue worker who is hilarious, his line after he gets frightened is the funniest and best line in movie history, his swear words are so creative and funny, "jesus christmas, christmas shit", intense suspenseful and spooky scenes outside in the forest and inside the houses, the best hero in tommy jarvis, the best score, the most beautiful and hottest girls in sam and sara and the twins, the best nudity from sam, sara, and the twins, the best guy buddies in ted and jimbo, with their lines of being nerds who can't ever get laid.

then it is part 3, part 2, part 1, part 5, part 6, part 7, part 8, jason x, part 9.

how does your favorite list go?

i watch movies to escape reality too. i never liked the world after around the year 1999 so i'd rather see movies that take place in earlier times before cell phones or the internet and the way people dress nowadays, the music and the words they use. i do enjoy new movies but i would prefer stories to be about people living in the 70/80/90s time period.

i'm not so clear on what made the van have power. i guess if we only used it for one night it may not have hurt it so bad? i know my friend never owned a van so he must have bought it and returned it like he did with video cameras at sears a couple times.

i would love to see all the films uncut versions. i would want them on bluray but i understand that they were more fun on vhs. i miss the grainy look too. i rememebr popping in a tape while some friends may be over after school. didn;t happen a lot but when they did the tape would be grainy and be a good 80s slasher. that may be where i watched part 6 again, but we weren't paying attention the whole time and we probably never finished it.

it's hard to put them in a definite order. i might change them around from time to time. i like the first 2 a lot because they are early 80s and very raw. the 3rd started to form the series into what it i known for. 4 is great, they give you everything in that one, it is very entertaining and well made.

something like 2,1,4,3,5,8,6,7,9. though i have to watch 6 again, like i said.

men are men and women are women.

on them on blu ray compared to vhs tape: do you agree with me on this, that you dont want to take away the feelings and atmosphere and ways they became memorable memories by having them cleaned up visually and auditorily?

tacky cellphones in movies are just tacky and are misused in movies almost always, they stick out like a sore thumb and almost always take you out of a moment in a movie bc then it's about the technology and not the situation and the people in a scene.

also lets be serious if movies reflected cell phone reality they would have to be in every person's hand at every moment of every day and that would get boring very fast it would only work if it was like 1 minute or less of a movie.

but then it would be realistic anyway bc in real life everyone has it on them always so therefore i submit they should never be used in a movie bc they dont make sense in a movie.

i checked out interest in movies around 2000. and havent' looked back, haven't gone back to the '90s interest since. also movie quality went down tremendously from 2000 to 2010 and even went down from 2010 to 2022.

though i loved loved jason x made in 2000 but released in 2002. saw it in a theater then. it's amazingly and epically great. it had everything except the camp sites, forest, camping, and country landscapes, environment, and the same music and atmosphere the old '80s f the 13th films have but it was set in space and it has stupid uber jason.

what i loved about it more than anything is the director jim isaac made sure to make it the most '80s feeling f the 13th slasher movie made since the '80s and he succeeded. the only film made since 1991 (critters 3) that feels as '80s f the 13th than jason x is the film mentioned to you, lumberjack man. i will defend jason x the rest of my life as a film that is essential to the friday the 13th film universe and that is a respecting and respectable loving tribute to the '80s friday the 13th films.

did you love it as much i did when you first watched it? i was very skeptical when i first heard about it, jason in space? really didn't sound like it would work but it did work very well.

exactly if i watch a movie nowadays i want it to be set in the '90s or before, sadly everything post cell phones suck.

exactly im the same way everything in the world after 1999 has sucked. movies, tv shows, toys, cartoons, commercials, music, etc.

what about the friday 13th on vhs is more fun than on blu ray? the graininess bc it reminds you of watching these films in the '80s and '90s? nostalgia? or maybe bc that the way they were made and meant to look>?

ah looks like we are very similar in how much we love the '80s friday the 13th films compared to each other. our order is very similar.

you go 2, 1, 4, 3 i go 4, 3 2, 1. very similar. then you go 5, 8, i go 5, 6, you go 6, 7 i go 7, 8, then 9 like you. very cool.

Pffft, that is such a narrow minded way of looking at it [rolleyes]

They way I see it, Salt water taffy is a variety of soft taffy originally produced and marketed in the Atlantic City, New Jersey area of the Jersey Shore starting in the 1880s.[6] Its late 19th century appellation most likely originated in New Jersey, United States.[7] Salt water taffy is still sold widely on the boardwalks in Atlantic City (including shops in existence since the 19th century),[8] nearby Ocean City, and other popular beaches throughout the United States like Cape Cod. It is also popular in Atlantic Canada, and Salt Lake City, Utah.

Modern commercial taffy is made primarily from corn syrup, glycerin and butter. The pulling process, which makes the candy lighter and chewier, consists of stretching out the mixture, folding it over and stretching it out again. Although it is called "salt water" taffy, it does not include any seawater but does contain both salt and water in its manufacture.[9] In the local Philadelphia dialect, the term "taffy" without "salt water" refers to a lollipop.[10]

The original invention of the candy has several different stories circulating, likely all apocryphal. One relates to an assistant who substituted fresh water with sea water—either through laziness or accident.[citation needed] Another cites a storm which caused ocean water to wash over the candy, which was consequently (and successfully) marketed with the appropriate name.[11]

Joseph Fralinger popularized the candy by boxing it and selling it in Atlantic City. Fralinger's first major competition came from candy maker Enoch James, who refined the recipe, making it less sticky and easier to unwrap. James also cut the candy into bite-sized pieces, and is credited with mechanizing the "pulling" process. The candy was also sold mail order; in 1926 sheet music was commissioned by James with the title "Send Home Some Taffy Today!" [12] Both Fralinger's and James's stores still operate on the Atlantic City boardwalk. Both companies have been owned and operated by the Glaser family since 1947.[13][11]

On August 21, 1923, John Edmiston obtained a trademark for the name "salt water taffy" (number 172,016), then demanded royalties from companies using his newly acquired name. He was sued over this demand, and in 1925, the trademark was invalidated as being in common use.

Caramel candies are sometimes referred to as taffy (taffy apples), but are very different from common salt water taffy.

i still have to rewatch jason x. i liked it when i saw it, but i rather see jason in his normal camp atmosphere. i rememeber the ending had a camp setup for a sequel.

the grain of the old vhs versions make them seem like they're more real. i guess you could say hi-def makes things look more real but you see too much with hi-def, like all the stunt doubles, it takes you out of the film.

but do you agree with me that part of the essential legendary lovableness of these films from the '80s is the graininess and sound not being crystal clear? bc they remind you of when you first watched these films or remind you of the '80s in general?

and that these are needed to make these films the way they were meant to be and the way they were when they first came out?

more real is an illusion with hi-def bc when you take out all the graininess and defects for an '80s film it just looks flat and not as realistic bc these movies didnt look this way when they first came out so it is disingenuous making them look too clear.

also blu ray is bad in that there is a loss of a lot of natural color that movie on vhs tape have. and also they look too colorful, like a cartoon or something. now that is unrealistic bc natural colors don't look like they do in blu ray movies.

what do you mean by the ending had a camp setup for a sequel? sequel? it was just a hologram of classical f the 13 films.

well then let me ask you this. even though jason goes to hell is in the forest a little bit and has a tent scene, has more of the atmospheres of '80s f the 13th films than jason x don't you like jason x a lot more than jason goes to hell?

the biggest problem i have with jason goes to hell is jason is almost never seen. it's just his soul in the bodies of people not him besides the beginning and then until the end. i need to see jason killing people through the whole film in my friday the 13th film. whereas in jaosn x you see jason killing people thought the whole film.

so if you think about it jason goes to hell is basically just a generic slasher movie not a friday the 13th film in a way bc you almost never see jason killing people.

of course a f the 13th film should take place in a forest and a camp site but unfortunately jason x mostly doesn't have this.

hey why didn't you love part 6 or part 7? part 6 is one of the best in this series. i mean amongst the fans it's almost unanimous that part 6 is one of the best. i always thought it's one of the best. it excels at the highest level of quality in every department which are essential and unique to this series. the kills, the sex, the funny, goofy, silly, campy characters and campy lines, and funny campy and in the forest campy situations.

the great spooky serious atmosphere, great teen and youth music, camping, one of the best jasons who is very intimidating and epically awesome, and who never takes over a scene in a bad way like kane hodder's jason does,

(he always overshadowed kill and chase scenes, he has too much personality for me, he's in part 7, 8, 9, and jason x) and epic and memorable jason coming back to life scene as well as epic and memorable fight scenes between the good characters and jason, and joyful, and free youthful moments of bliss fun and romance. the only thing it lacks is tits and girl ass. so how could you not love this film?

well then let me ask you this. even though jason goes to hell is in the forest a little bit and has a tent scene, has more of the atmospheres of '80s f the 13th films than jason x don't you like jason x a lot more than jason goes to hell?

the biggest problem i have with jason goes to hell is jason is almost never seen. it's just his soul in the bodies of people not him besides the beginning and then until the end. i need to see jason killing people through the whole film in my friday the 13th film. whereas in jaosn x you see jason killing people thought the whole film.

so if you think about it jason goes to hell is basically just a generic slasher movie not a friday the 13th film in a way bc you almost never see jason killing people.

of course a f the 13th film should take place in a forest and a camp site but unfortunately jason x mostly doesn't have this.

are you still on here? i've sent you a message 2 weeks ago but you never responded.

but do you agree with me that part of the essential legendary lovableness of these films from the '80s is the graininess and sound not being crystal clear? bc they remind you of when you first watched these films or remind you of the '80s in general?

and that these are needed to make these films the way they were meant to be and the way they were when they first came out?

more real is an illusion with hi-def bc when you take out all the graininess and defects for an '80s film it just looks flat and not as realistic bc these movies didnt look this way when they first came out so it is disingenuous making them look too clear.

Most people would tap out after the third, maybe the fourth if they have a thing for Kim Cattrall.

No thank you

Re: we need to come up with a police academy watching day like friday the 13th h

May 25th, I will leave it to you to work out why.

Re: we need to come up with a police academy watching day like friday the 13th h

What are the initials of the police dept. from the movie?
So you take those letters. Assign a number to each one. Divide by 3.5. Add 634 to that number. Subtract 69. Multiply 3,967 then divide that by 9.
Got your total?
Then you go to the store and look for an expiration date on the first bottle of juice you find.
Take that date then add it to the odometer reading of your car.
Then subtract those numbers from the other total.
There will be your date for watching these movies.

You're welcome.
