So do I! And I drink out of a 12-ounce mug, NOT a DAINTY tea cup that the British do. I have on average 5 cups a day. 12 x 5 = 60. ALMOST a GALLON of tea every day! 8 (average cup size) x 5 = 40. So I drink 20 more ounces per day than someone using the average eight ounce size, IF they drink five cups per day. I'm guessing those DAINTY British tea cups ONLY hold three, four or five ounces at MOST. Plus I also drink ice tea everyday, as well. Hot tea and ice tea EVERYDAY!!

I do have a tea cup collection yet NEVER use them. I use large mugs as well!! I always have a jug of iced in my fridge!!!

There are so many different varieties of tea, that it would be difficult to lump them all into one taste category.
I don’t know what it is, but I’ve never tasted better tea than at a Chinese restaurant. Pretty much any Chinese restaurant. It all tastes good.
I’ve drank that Yerba Mate before, and it indeed tastes bloody awful! Didn’t really notice any energy benefit from it either, as you’re supposed to.

Sometimes when I go to certain restaurants, their tea either tend to be over-brewed or over-steeped (which would make the tea taste weird or burnt) and/or too sweet, which makes me think they're adding too much sugar in attempts to hide the low/shitty quality of tea brewing. Makes me shake my head in disappointment.
But you're right about the teas at Chinese Restaurant. It seems they're quite precise about how to properly brew the teas.
And if I had to buy the store bought tea, I'd take Milo's tea. In my opinion, they're the best brand. But I hate their peach flavored tea. It tastes like cough medicine.

I think the Chinese restaurant’s almost exclusively brew the green tea. I noticed that when they bring the whole pot over to your table, you can see to the bottom quite easily, as the green tea is relatively weak. But it’s one of the better tasting tea’s in my opinion. I drink coffee more often for the higher caffeine content, but to me, tea tastes way better.
I do not know how some people can drink plain black coffee straight out the pot, with no sweetener or cream.

I love green tea. While I also enjoy black tea, green tea has more health benefits than the rest, especially it's laced with antioxidant which is suited for detoxing your body. And tea usually have natural caffeine which can help you combat fatigue. It doesn't energize you exactly the same way coffee do as tea have compounds that coffee don't, they just give you a boost without crashing later on.

Lemon Zinger isn't a tea. It's an herbal/fruit drink. There is no tea in it.

Technically anything steeped can be a tea. I drink dandelion tea and also make teas from many of my herbs in my garden. My son can't have regular medicine. I make his herbal blends depending on his ailments. I started using them myself

Technically, it's not. True tea is made from the leaves of the plant camellia sinensis, most commonly known as the tea plant, while herbal "teas" are made using a combination of spices, flowers, bark and leaves belonging to edible, non-tea plants; therefore, herbals are not teas. Just as almond, coconut and oat "milks" are not milks, but milk-substitutes and erroneously and stupidly mislabeled. Not sure why the FDA allows it as it constitutes faulty advertising.
