I'm feeling bad too often, I hope she isn't like a distraction. (My goals to hold a part time job and eventually get a comfortable higher paying one and move into a cool apartment, all while continuing to study music, if that holds up, for me, and learn German ..and move to Europe/Germany.)

Yea, I wish I got even more into Germany, before, I may have had a sporting chance at England, invited to Cambridge somehow in the mail, I think. I just wanted to see the **** America had to offer. I could have maybe taken German in high school starting my 2nd year but wanted to see what French was all about and same I ended in Spanish.

The only problem with England was it didn't have Music.

My college didn't have German, and I really wanted it, but as I tell everyone I wanted to move to France to do organ and where I lived, the New Orleans area age 12-college, was French. Goodbye to that wish. Many ethnically German people hate me because my relative are bad or my cousin's bad behavior, rather, as a teenager and young adult. I mean, she went to jail etc.

When we left Florida when I was 12, after living in 4 different areas in Southeastern and Northeastern Florida, it was a "culture shock," for me, and my mom said the counselor asked her if I wanted to move to Australia as a foreign exchange student for a year. I wanted the full American dream is all. I wanted to see what the **** really was.

I have not had a roommate since college days except yes in the mental hospital 3 times, not always my fault. I thought someone or I would get killed.

Now, I have one more story to tell.

I applied to more fast food jobs this evening. I want a part time job and looking for a full time job for later, to pay for a $1.5K/month apartment. You have to make 2 or 3 times the rent sometimes to live in an apartment, I found.

You didn't know tenants who pay rent have rights? Good thing you're not a landlord (or the owner of a group home).

I can't imagine it's legal for them to add another person to her bedroom if she didn't know ahead of time and agree to that. At the very least, they should reduce her monthly rent. If she agreed to pay a specific monthly fee for a full room and now she has to share that space, it can't be legal for the cost for the room to remain exactly the same.

When is the roommate moving in? Im looking forward to this

They're having someone stay in your room with you, but they're charging you the same monthly rent they were before? If they didn't tell you up front that you'd be sharing your room, I'm not sure it's legal for them to add a second person to your room, especially if they're still charging you the same rent you were paying before. Maybe you could ask your case manager about it.

I think you should ask your case manager about it. It sounds like the owner of the group home is trying to pull a fast one, getting paid twice the rent for one bedroom.

I could be wrong since I don't know a lot about group homes, but I assume your case manager would be able to find out if the group home owner is allowed to do that. I don't think they're allowed to add a second tenant to your bedroom if you weren't told up front that you would eventually have to share the room.

I'm also surprised that they're allowed to have male and female tenants in one home (instead of all male tenants or all female tenants).

The couple in charge of the last group home were mean and yelled at me for no reason, too. I might try to work towards a full time job to pay for an apartment. I may get $3,000/month from the Veterans association because I was a dependent of a deceased disabled veteran etc.
