The Goldbergs : Jump the shark moment?

Though I know the real Barry Goldberg is a physician, based on how dumb they portray him on the show, I was really taken aback that he's suddenly so "into" science and Physics, of all things. Since when? The guy acts like he doesn't have two brain cells to rub together, but he sneaks a look at physics books when he's alone?

Weird.

Well, I would imagine that Real Barry has been been goof balled up on the show for entertainment value and they add in some Real Barry to TV Barry every so often. Some kids feel that it's not cool to be smart and act dumb, so it's also possible that Real Barry was one of them and someone in his life convinced him it's okay to show how smart he is.

I never had the impression that the show's Barry was "acting" dumb. He IS dumb!

Whatever ScaryMary, it's tv show entertainment, not a documentary.

That's right, and that's why there can be jump the shark moments, oh snarky one.

And why it's so open to many interpretations, oh Don't Accept Any Answers To My Questions one.

This show is not close to jumping the shark. It is still in its stride.

Or Barry! Barry is so unbelievably Touched by an Angel that he easily falls prey to reverse psychology to go out of his way to prove everyone wrong. Not the first kid that did it.I'm a multiple award winning Special Education teacher and, honestly, it's just sometimes knowing the right suppoert system and often the most valuable trick in my bag is . It's right up there with saying this is kind of hard to handle it? Or hey don't tell anyone but I'm going to teach you the official teacher work on that it's our special little secret. Every kid has a different motivation factor.
