Joker got 11 Oscar nominations, including Best Picture, and won Best Actor and Best Original Score.

The Dark Knight got 8 Oscar nominations, and won Best Sound Editing and Best Supporting Actor.

I’m guessing you mean the DCEU, right? I’d say they’ve been getting things right for the most part since Suicide Squad. Obviously the Whedon cut of Justice League and Wonder Woman 2 were shit, but the rest were pretty alright or, in The Suicide Squad’s case, pretty fuckin excellent.

Their slate of movies for next year look awesome, tho. Especially The Batman.

DC has gotten a lot right. Most Batman movies are commercial and critical hits. There have been some bad DC movies but there have been just as many bad Marvel movies.

Iron Man 1 is actually the best one MCU has. Because, at that time, it was made with realism in mind. There were scenes of Tony building his suit doing blacksmith work which would never be a thing in later Marvel films. Tony had to go to his house and put his suit on manually.


Then Disney bought Marvel and the MCU pretty much went to pure fantasy drivel.

Tony could "nanotech" his suit to form over him. Ugh, imagine if Batman starts nanoteching his suit.

They did this with Spider-man who should have never been a nanotech character.

But things got way out of hand when Tony could signal his suit to deliver itself to him thousands of kilometres away.
