I think that Javier Bardem did a Great Job playing him in "SKYFALL".

He did of course,

Many people consider him the Greatest,

but based on that,

I wanted him to go against one of my recent favourites and the reason I thought of this is that I thought Silva's big plan and obsession to so called Kill M was pretty weak, whereas Gustav wanted to Take over the world through Icarus which is a lot more fascinating and powerful to me.

Is it true that many people consider Silva to be the greatest villain? I didn't know that.

yea, for many different reasons.

He brought back the vintage and classic feel villain to the Current Franchise.
He is Bardem former Oscar Nominee and Winner.

And people like that he is the only Villain that wanted to Kill M and The Bond Legacy out of a real Personal Vendetta they did him wrong whereas the ambition of Power and World Domination.
