The talent scout in me seeks out the ones with some originality and different perspectives or interpretations.
Even original artists do covers.
They can be interesting or better than the original at times…just depends.
I know they aren't all better than the original but it sometimes enhances the original songs when you've heard it covered different ways.
I might do a thread on original versions of songs that most didn't know the popular versions were actually covers. There are many of those.
