This is mine.

I just love the dialog and the words that are written and it shows that sfx are not needed as there is for the more popular later one.
A deep sea diver moving through outer space? Really? LOL!

This one is okay, but its weaknesses are the eyeball and the "mannequin" floating in space. Not really good SPX there imho.

Less is more visually which is why I like the one I posted in the OP.
It is words instead that carry the effect without SFX.
I dunno.
The door and the breaking window is kinda cheesy to me.

I'm okay with the door and the breaking window, but I think the eyeball and the mannequin are cheesy.

The newest revival really tried to pay homage to that classic intro.



I think it's a nice homage, but it's just a little too close to feel like it's own thing. Out of all the revivals, the 80s version had the best intro.



I can't even post the intro to the early 2000s revival. It's just that terrible. But it still had some good moments.

It IS genius, and it's my favorite opening too! It's simple, spooky and doesn't have a lot of hokey SFX. SFX were NOT great back then. Great minds….

I already mentioned that I have to turn the hand crank and it is steam powered.

I am thinking of installing one of those old fashioned sewing machine pedals to keep it running.
