Fatal Attraction : Should Glenn Close and Ann Archer have switched roles?

I feel like they should have. The idea is, is that when I man chooses to cheat on his wife, that he has found a more attractive woman he is drawn to, or at least that seems like the logical thing.

But in my opinion Ann Archer is about 10 times hotter than Glenn Close, so it seems like he would be more attracted to her, and thus make her the seduction that he can't help but succumb to.

Some people will target someone they can "fuck" and so Glen Close could easily be a "cum dumpster" for a lot of guys. So, his immoral behavior and using people triggers her to go crazy because she's had a life of it.

Oh really, in my experience, the opposite happens. Not that I haven't cheated ever, but when I have hooked up while single, it was always the lesser looking women who bragged about the sex more, like it was an accomplishement… where as the better looking women kept their mouths shut about it. So I thought it was the opposite, but that's just been my experience :).

I strongly disagree for the same reason Adlerian gives. Both were excellent, especially Close!

That is the irony in the predicament of Gallagher, is that he already had a prize with Beth as his wife. She seemed a little self-absorbed and spoiled, but intelligent good looking people tend to get what they want out of life smoothly.

Someone like Beth would have likely had things come very easy and boy did she get a wake-up call. That her husband got with another woman when she was out of town and one that wasn't a prize by any means, gives the films scenario more levity too. It makes one question Dan's actions more and that was the point.

It was a quick fix fling and by my observation of the breeder male, it appears many of them will just stick it where it becomes available.

Beth was very pretty and feminine and had a kind personality.

But to be honest, I always found Alex to be much more striking. And, danger notwithstanding, she seemed to have a more exciting personality than Beth. Though, of course, Beth was actually stable.
