Film History and Meaning : IMDB technicians/researchers/contributors forum

IMDB technicians/researchers/contributors forum

JUst decided t set something up.
Found imdb community too full of self-promoting turns.
Imdb frustrates me terribly.
I am currently doing research into a ton of local Georgia-shot productions, mainly webseries, and one thing that angers me is that basic data on imdb is not compulsory, so you have tons of American entries misssing country, filming location, language, color/bw. It angers me, and now due to so much screen time, I am having a minor mental wobble. I didn't even sleep last night. I was up all night.
I think imdb has become just a promo tool for Amazon, and not achieving its true purpose. Has there been nay attempt by its team to stand up and recalibrate?

Re: IMDB technicians/researchers/contributors forum

Currently, I'm doing various Georgia productions.

This began fairly innocuously.

Doctor Who fan actress Shelia Wofford was in Maverick's the Last Assignment, and Marbles and Bullets with Hot Shots' Cylk Cozart. Her missing-country short was a Deathstroke fan short by Brian PArks.
PArks' feature debut is the red-tinted Fisher (2021),a catfishing thrillerwith Captain America Civil War's Jessie Bell (who's also been in a country-less short or two) and Creepshow/doom Patrol's Nasim.

Now look at imdb, Imdb does not have a sufficient way of identifying places where there are blanks. This must be done, or the imdb will always be incomplete. Unfortunately, I can't do this at the moment because I am busy at home, but I feel this needs to be done urgently.

Jessie Bell is the star of this Prime horror - the Blood Thins (2019) by Shadowmoss Entertainment and Glass Onion PR by sepia-tinted Drew Carey-alike Adrian Roman.

Nasim was in the Pakistani-American short Mabrook 2021 by award-winning Doctor Who/Magic the Gathering fan director/Willy's Wonderland designer Molly Coffee, Asad Farooqui (who did shorts Bonding (2014) and Free (2014). which are all correctlylisted), IFC's Melodie Sisk also in IFC'sWhite Reindeer,A24's Death of Dick long, and the Ebert-reviewed Vertical Ent release Social Friends and Kino Lorber's Little Sister (2016/i) and Indian documentarist Manahar Kumar. Nasim is also in upcoming SF thriller Alaska 2021 by Racheal Cain Stephens and Stars: Peter Vack, Chloë Levine, Alexis Ren

Peter Vack was the bully in the videogame Bully, appeared in TV's Mozart in the Jungle and Homeland plus the Intern with Robert DeNiro bathroom/clinic short Send 2014 () and Alexandra Annatasio's horror short , plus A December 2011 video short.

Now, Adrian Roman is also working on something called Holly Hill in preproduction with Tubi's Lection's Rachel Petsiavas (currently shooting brenton Bent's Terrestrial Lights), Brandon Scott Hughes, Gaia Passaler, Treg Monty. He knows my friend Howard S Berger's friend/my own facebook friend Soojin Chung. and made shorts called the Compact(2015) and the Permanent Plan (2015), which again do have countries listed, but…

ok sign me up. for literally anything! i'm of German origin but can speak English fluently, female (AFAB), 25. single, good looking, neat and tidy in appearance, dark brown natural hair, not one single tattoos, but i have pierced ears (lobes and the side of ears) and the right side of my nose is pierced too, darkish green eyes, 164cm (ca. 5'4"), ca 60kg, but mostly less than that. no kids, no divorce or anything like that, i can play the piano but have no prior knowledge when it comes to acting or shooting films or modeling or performing, so i'm a bloody newb who would do anything in front of the camera, but no porn. no way, never, ever.

let me know if u need any shots or pictures or whatever u need from me.

Re: IMDB technicians/researchers/contributors forum

Gaia Passaler was in A Million Little Pieces with Aaron Johnson, and the upcoming Malcolm McDowell horror - The Mystery of Casa Matusita and Fragile Heart with Dreadcentra regular/producer Sean C. Philips , plus a few country-less shorts.

As an aside, C. Philips' imdb has variables, but there's at least two foreign productons there. 1.
2.

Jesus-alike Brandon Scott Hughes who has listed everything as American or Korean, directed Prime webseries Night Runner with Marvllous Mrs. Maisel's Jayson Wesley (whose credits at least as far as film, videos and shorts go are also American) plus webseries called Pool and Adultish, and was at the Seoul webfest alongside Emma Thompson. A short that acts as his trailer is called By Tomorrow with blond Boardwalk Empire actress Ella jane New who also worked with Chris R Notarile and did something called Mr. Dellamort and a British short Earth Beneath my Feet - New again has correct listings as far as video, film, short.
Pool featured Tv's New Amsterdam/Sopranos:The White Saints of Newark's award winner Gabriella Piazza who is missing one entry - thee easily spotted Jakten amongst garish, arty titles like To Whom it May Concern (2016), People like You, Cracked and Ticks, which has its letterboxd. She also did an unreleased feature film - Drifting
1.
2.

Pool also had the Deuce's Stacy Price, also of Guy Code from mTv. Her film work headlined by a short called Box of Crayons does seem also intact, as far as country, although as for language listing, and location, they are often overlooked.
Flyering 2019 featured Tv's the Blacklist actors Kristina Cole and the Office/Pitch Perfect's Andrew O'Shanick who have correct country listings, though as far as other things, I wouldn't say.

Adultish featured regular videogame voice Logan Cunningham (Jackrabbit - - again his film work is sparse and correctly identified as such) and Aimee Spring Fortier who was in Librarian - Curse of the Judas Spear, Law and Order, the Yellow Handkerchief with William Hurt and NBC's Most Wanted.
She was missing a film, but it was easily spottable/correctable. A just announced, not even in productin short named Skull

Treg Monty was easily rootable and n errors re:country, he was in a few Chinese films, Tv's Devious Maids, It's Supernatural, a few ID TV crime shows and a few shorts - Matinee (2015/I, Chords (2014) - the only work of Zach Francis and shorts-only filmmaker Karen deloach (correct listing) starring Jimmy Ace Lewis (from tubi's the Stalker with the BBc's Galidor's Matthew Ewald), short Bathroom (2014), Adrian Roman's own Tv short, sci-fi short Troy (2015) with CBS/Frightfest Hell Fest's Christian James (wh has correct information re:film nationality, but he is working fr A24 now in hot Summer Nights), plus Dalton Pictures' 2 hour long A Carolina Christmas - with Dynasty/the Taking of Deborah Logan/the Trump Prophecy's Karen Boles who has correct nationality film information a letterboxd thanks to appearances in Sony's overcomer and Christmas in the Rockies with Barry Corbin.

Emma Jane New was in When I'm with You, a blue-tinged stencil portrait film with FX Pose's Johnny Sibilly, whose film work is small and therefore correctly identified re:nationality, headed by 2019's Vanilla - while her Blind Date director/Cinequest nominee Adrienne Lovette of DC's Joker , Gotham and Sun light jr with Naomi Watts and Let me die a short Funny that she played herself in the short Little Bean, which is identified but the Deadline-hailed A Boy Like That - which as it's still in productin, didn't have its country listed until I added, while the likes of Tubi's the Breeding (2018) - with MSpider-man dance captain/convicted kiler Marcus Bellamy, Patrick Kuzara, Joe MacDougal, David J. Cork did.

well did u not see my first post? okay i'll post it again then, just in case:

Currently, I'm doing various Georgia productions.

ok sign me up. for literally anything! i'm of German origin but can speak English fluently, female (AFAB), 25. single, good looking, neat and tidy in appearance, dark brown natural long hair, i dont have one single tattoo anywhere on my skin or have intimate piercings, but i have pierced ears (lobes and the side of ears) and the right side of my nose is pierced too, darkish green eyes, 164cm (ca. 5'4"), ca 60kg, but mostly less than that. no kids, no divorce or anything like that, i can play the piano and i'm a good dancer and can move my body to any beat but have no prior knowledge when it comes to acting or shooting films or modeling or performing, so i'm a bloody newb who would do anything in front of the camera, nude scenes, full frontal, sex scenes, full penetration of any orifice, i don't fucking care, i'll do anything for art, as long as it is no porn production. no way nah ah, never, ever.

Re: IMDB technicians/researchers/contributors forum

Now, onto Miss Lacey Caroline.

Lacey Caroline was also in a series of superhero short films, and had a starring role in Kristen Chenoweth Hallmark Hall of Fame A Christmas Love Story.
She was also in a homemade Medieval Musical, which had musical and country and a video and poster, but little else, and Disconnect, a short film by Trey Riley
His work seems to be pristine rE:nationality, and some of them have little tags to tell you where in the Carolinas they're from. But some might be overlooked.

RE:Caroline, a lot of her films are still in development, hence the dodgy info.

Disconnect 2019 is starring Shelly Townsend (who's been in Hallmark's Love, Fall and order, Dallas, the Lea Thompson Little Women, CBS pilot Chiefs with Jorja Fox, Fox's Lone Star plus shorts Hit TV the Prologue which I had to add the country to, and T is for Tada - a sparse but highbrow in some ways catalogue)
As an aside, T for Tada features Sinister 2's Nico Ford whose imdb seems neglected so there may be missing info there. Also root about bit-parters too, there is often missing info there if you find their shorts and films.
1. (at least one missing short film nationality record, and probably a few location records too), and Technicolor Daydream, a nice-looking film does seem sadly overlooked, not even on tubi, or letterboxd - and its highest ranking star is Alex Vaughan Miller, who has featured roles in Turn - Washington's Spies, Imperium with Daniel Radcliffe, the BridgestoneMultimedia godcom Altar Egos and PBS' Mercy Street

The director's CV (work on MacGyver), Mitch Hudson also seems neglected, with Get Your Own Back missing a release date and presumably much

Also in disconnect, J'Nelle York who was in SCripture Films, which have their distributor listed as Scripture Stream, though she seems more Nc-based, with another role in Hallmark Hall of FAme's A christmas Love Story, and the 70s sexploitation-looking Damiane and the Demons with FX Atlanta's Armie Hicks, who is missing TEN nationality credits -

Lost in the Forest is still filming, while Loves Me, Loves Me Not (2019) (2019/II) got reviews, and a release on Gravitas Ventures, on tubi, has a non-native star in Isabelle chester from Life on Mars USA and Are We There Yet and an upcoming new York-shot US indie called the Failing World (2021), but none of the 28 users seem to notice it has no country listing, even though Chester's other Tubi com Threesomething has info. Then again, her tribeca favourite Catch the Fair One has no country info either, though it's still in preproduction.

(and also look for obscure TV miniseries that are clearly online productons, which all should be tagged with webseries as webseries is not yet is its own specific category)

Now, onto Tucci/Max Baker lookalike Bryan pierce, who was in an ep of two or Nashville, and a contestant on the Voice.

Door to Door, a webseries he did at least has Christmas Chronicles star Darby Camp and a webseries tag.

Little Package has just been added. It stars Johanna Jowett, who has been in Life as We Know It (2010) with Kath Heigl, One Tree Hill (2003) and Captive (2015) with Kate Mara, When we Last Spoke with Cloris Leachman, and Jowett's work seems film-wise quite complete, though there need to be acheck for webseries and so on.
Similarly, Patrick g. Keenan who has done alot of low-budget horror, a regular in Dreadcentral, was in Troma's War, but also roles in the likes of the Blind Side and Homeland has no nationality cockups on his front, but he's apparently a big geek, so maybe he's helping.

All of Bryan Pierce's his films have country info, only telly lacking is the locked-to-pbulic-view-being-development Harbor Island, a webseries with Anna Stadler, who was in a horror called the Bluesman in pre-prod with Camille Keaton and Bill Moseley, a short called Alone (VII) (2021) and a few other dribs, all of which at least have their country - but her TV stuff is scatty, I notice one missing credit - - Realm of the Waterfall, a sword and sorcery thing, Invisible Ones, a crime web series, I presume… All o these need tagging as webseries, i imagine.
Realm of the Waterfall stars Rolfe Kanesky/tubi's Party Bus to Hell

Pierce was also in the aforementioned Damiane, a short called Parked, a short called Dairy Heir as Richard bunns Fox news' Legends and Lies, 3 Minutes (i) 2017 - another short, Goodbye Butterfly which for him is fairly high profile on tubi, letterboxd and has Jeremy London, plus Horace Priester's All things in China Grove which has a letterboxd and a prime entry, but no footprint, but looks not bad.

It stars Brook Sill from Cw's Legacies, Nickelodeon's Henry Danger and Netflix's Outer whatsits.
Sill surprisngly has a very scatty imdb, so we go onto Brooke Sill..

High Expectations had no country listing, until I put it on but I had to update it. I didn't notice it's an Icelandic coproduction with Kelsey Grammer

"Chris White of CDW Films and Kristinn Thordarson of Icelandic powerhouse Truenorth are producing and Jonathan Southard will direct the privately financed independent drama about a talented …" See full summary »
Directors: Jonathan Southard, Christopher D. White | Stars: Kelsey Grammer, Taylor Gray, Brook Sill, Ally Brooke"
Robin Givens' also undated but in production Haunted Trail has full local info, even down to SC postcodes.
The two other shorts Miss Sill did, Tia abou a teenage assassin had no basic info at all, though costar JC shurburtt was in Proverbs but nothing else. jolly looking chap's a podcaster

The Letters that guided us may need a brushup. i oten try to track down the crew on facebook to help.

Now, I forgot to mention Bryan Pierce's latest film, Water for the Root, well it's an urban film, and I think all these urban films, there are so many films of these type, and though many went through Maverick entertainment, as many have disappeared, and as it is our job not for these to get lost in the web of imdb to be lost to generations to come, I would suggest tagging these as urban and African-American.
It stars Tyler Perry's Meet the Browns' Courtney Brown who was also in a Disney TVM. Now, his two pivotal films seem lost.

Last Night A DJ Saved my Life with Omar Gooding was supposed to be releasd in 2018, but it's stil in post-production. I gave it a 2022 rating, but I often think films in limbo should be put in their own separate archive.
While New year, New Us, coming from MaverickEntertainment has sank without a trace.
No reviews, nada.

But his other Tv work is the one that fascinates and frustrates. Victory productions' original all-black miniseries, these seem to have completely faded even when they are modern, though one or two are on tubi, but they have the barest entries - no votes, no tags, just a vague genre and sense of plot, and poster, and the odd youtube section. some of them, i.e Brothahood or Sistahood don't even have company listings. And some may need youtube added.
But at least his countries are intact, all other distinguishing details are nil.

See also Victory alumni Shartereia Stokes who was in Divalifeandstyle's thriller PRescription for love, not to be confused with the Canadian tv movie starring Jillian Murray from Disney stuf and one Brian Brough, Stokes' film's only imdb activity a note from the elusive Sgrich of the long and winding radarr lists.
Sistahood's Iana Crane has even worse luck - her two other works are Black Jummy, a short that has a country and not much else, while Coming Clean (020/iv) has no basic data, and is mislited as a feature. I've corrected some of that info just now, but i' probably not going to the rest I note, as i only see it from a distance on the list.

Also, there's two separate pages for victory productions, Victory productions llc and Victory productions.
But bar the ID Tv crime stuff, this stuff is virtually featureless. How will historians of the future find it?
Her shorts all have countries, but most don't even have genres.

Water for the Root's Rachelle Neal had a more prestige career, bar IflixTV's Music and Murder (someone should add Amazon to that as distributor - same with Youtube for all the Victory shows), she's done fBlack Lightning on CW, BET, TVOne and even the GMC TV movie she did despite first billing Elizabeth Becka (there's someone to investigate) starred Clifton Davis, michael Jai White and Lynn Whitfield. Though her highest rating film is Hollywood Dirt by
Tosca Musk | Stars: Hollyoaks' Emma Rigby, Johann Urb, Marco Dapper, Feraz Ozel Ellahie

Tian Williams from Nancy Drew came through Victory, but his films are all mainstream - Burden with tom Wilkinson, A BAd Moms' Christmas, and Dumplin' with Jennifer Aniston. And his TV is otherwise mainstream if you can call OWN and BET that too.

Re: IMDB technicians/researchers/contributors forum

what's the matter? can u not see my posts or what? ok i'll repost what i've posted twice before already in this thread bc i'm really really interested in a career in ur profession. really interested. i would not sleep with ur or give u oral for that, Mr. White. i'm not up for that and if u are intending to go that dirty road with me and my sacred body, i'm gonna have to disappoint u at this point. i want u to treat me with the same respect u would give ur own wife, mother, sister and daughter. i'm someone's daughter, sister, and girlfriend, too. i'm a human being who deserves respect and decency and a fair treatment on eye on eye level. i'm not a helpless vulnerable desperate weak little woman who would ever cave in any abuse to get where i want to. i just want a job in ur industrie and work hard for it, under normal circumstances and in no sexually ridden atmosphere. i'm not a fucking sexbot okay? i hope u'll keep that in mind. i'm no sexbot just bc i have a vagina, tits and ass. i have feelings and dreams and wishes that have nothing to do with sex at all, but just with life and the pursuit of happiness, thats all.

now that this is out of my system, let's move on… u said…

Currently, I'm doing various Georgia productions.

and i said:
