Conman claims Jesus was black

Keep in mind that Jake Steed is just another conman sock. I look forward to hearing him explain how a black child could be born to a middle eastern Jew and identified and was accepted by the Hebrew people during an extremely tribalist and fanatically religious period of Israels history. This ought to be rich. Go ahead conman, make a fool of yourself for all to see. Come one, come all, the emperor is naked.

Not that it will be any less painful for you but I am curious. Was suicide the plan or did you just piss me off on accident?

Re: Conman claims Jesus was black

Michael Jordan is Black Jesus. Almost everyone knows this.

Re: Conman claims Jesus was black

Well, I guess Conman must be black.

Re: Conman claims Jesus was black

What's more interesting is why the statement triggers you sufficiently that you've made a call-out thread.

How many socks do you run?

Re: Conman claims Jesus was black

I don't run any socks. Who has the time? Conmans 100+ sock accounts plus his leftist leanings are part of the reason I despise him so. The rest is just because he is a goon ass twink bastard.

Personally, I look forward to hearing you explain how a child can be born without a biological contributor for a father. Joseph's ancestry is immaterial, since the two nativity gospels insist he was not the father of Jesus. That it could have been seen as permissible for him to marry a black woman is illustrated by the example of Moses, who married a Cushite (cf. Numbers 12*).

But, for the sake of argument, let's say that it was possible that 'Goddidit.' You cannot say for certain whether or not the child was black. No one knows the would-be ancestry of Mary; no gospel author felt the need to concoct it. She could have been black. And who can say what physical traits might have been bestowed upon the child by the divine contributor? (Doctrinaire white supremacists like to say that this was why Jesus was white, and not a Jew. One could just as easily propose that he was black. )

But blacks were not as rare in 1st century Judea as you make out. Some have suggested that disciples like John Mark and Simon of Cyrene (Acts 13:1) were black.

Jesus and the apostles have always been imagined and depicted as reflecting the ethnic characteristics of the peoples who worshiped them - kind of like 'Black Santa Claus.' For my own part, I suggest all this purely for the sake of argument, since personally I do not believe that Jesus existed at all, and that the gospels and Acts are fictional. It's to point out that you have no real basis to insist that Jesus wasn't black.

* If the Tanakh was so adamant that Hebrews/Israelites/Jews not intermarry with other peoples, why does Numbers 12 depict Moses as marrying a black woman, and his sister Miriam being stricken with leprosy for complaining about it? It seems anomalous, and out of step with the rest of Jewish scripture.

The answer lies in when the Torah was being written, in 3rd century BCE Alexandria, under the sponsorship of Ptolemy II Philadelphus, a Macedonian king. Ptolemy took a black concubine, one Didyme, which caused the raising of a few eyebrows within the royal family.

The scribes, in order to flatter their sponsor and justify his choice, likely added the story about Moses and the Cushite woman in his honor.

Just as an aside, per the writing of Genesis during Ptolemy's reign: He kept a court menagerie of exotic animals, collected in pairs.

This is the detail of Noah's Flood that other flood narratives, both Mesopotamian and Greek, lack.

(It can also be noted that Ptolemy II colonised the Red Sea, restoring a canal dug by Darius I in the 6th century BCE which had silted up.

This corresponds to another story in the account of Moses, that of the dividing - and closing - of the Red Sea.

The scholars responsible for the Torah seem to have incorporated such details into the narrative as nods to the king who had sponsored the writing project.

Namecalling is a clear admission that you don't have an argument.

Re: Conman claims Jesus was black

Is that supposed to be advice for me, or for you?

For my part, I don't answer you according to your folly.

If it's for you, what are you even doing here?

Jesus was Palestinian and therefore brown, not black

Re: Conman claims Jesus was black

Jesus was Palestinian and therefore brown, not black
'Black' or 'brown' is immaterial to the racists; either way, it would make him a 'person of color,' as in 'not white.'

What's your evidence that Jesus existed at all, to be one color or another?
