That's horrible! I hope that place was shut down.

I wonder if it's sexist to say that men shouldn't even be working in an all-female facility (especially one that's specifically for adolescents).

That's scary. They should have young-looking cops get sent to these place "undercover." Although even if one facility gets shut down, another will just pop up in its place.

I wonder if the abusive people at these places were abusive beforehand or not. In other words, did they start working there with good intentions, but then get "jaded" (by kids talking back to them, etc.), so then they got angry and started thinking they had to treat the kids like crap in order for them to behave better? Or do they just get off on the power and the "nobody will believe you, you're a troubled kid" mentality?

Hopefully the more attention this subject gets around the country (and the world), the better chance something will be done to fix the problem.

Yeah, I don't think anyone who promoted those places will ever admit they made a mistake.

If there's no proof, the workers won't admit anything, since they don't want to get arrested.

If some of the "troubled" kids are being abused at home and they somehow avoid abuse at these places (or the abuse is less than they endure at home), then it probably helps those kids.

Yeah that is traumatic. Some parts of my life living with certain family members was like that. Except they did it to me while at home. I wasn't send away to a camp.
