Shop Talk Actors : If you were an actor, would you prefer artistic or blockbuster movies?

Would you prefer to look back and say 'I made okay money but stared in arthouse films and a few critically acclaimed', or 'I stared in movies that brought me the biggest pay days possible, some were summer blockbusters. I'm pretty rich as a result of this.'

Blockbusters. Movies aren't a particularly high art form so the difference in artistic satisfaction between making an arthouse movie versus a blockbuster is less than the difference in money you make.

Arthouse films don't have much of an audience today so if you want to continue your career, blockbusters are a better choice.
