I don't know how many people here watch the show. I caught the end of the episode where Maggie returned. I mentioned this in a previous post, but: I know we were supposed to be like, "Aww" when Maggie's son was wearing a hat like Glenn's, but instead, it made me roll my eyes. They can't yank my heartstrings that easily!
Anyway, remember this? It was exactly a year ago! I still remember I went to Target on Friday the 13th.

The toilet paper shelves were completely empty. The medicine was almost gone. The soap was almost gone. I saw some people get the last few rolls of paper towels.
There was no mask mandate anywhere yet, since we didn't know about asymptomatic carriers at the time.

It's so nuts that it's been a whole year! To me at least. It feels longer but I've been quarantining with 3 kids so i think that's a natural feeling lol. Hopefully we'll all get vaccinated up and can build a new normal

In some ways (to me), it seems like a long time ago, but in other ways, it doesn't seem that long ago.

I get nervous about any new medical stuff. You always see those lawsuit commercials for new drugs that ended up being crap and that stuff scares me. I'm a hippy granola person though, everyone knows this lol. But i am definitely not someone who thinks they're hiding microchips in there and I'll get it the second it becomes available!

I keep flip-flopping about it. I don't believe the microchip stuff either, but the vaccines weren't studied for that long, so nobody knows the long-term effects. Some countries are pausing the rollout on one of the vaccines, because it's possible it's causing blood clots. (That particular vaccine isn't approved for use in the US yet.)
Also, "Guillain-Barré syndrome" is linked to some vaccines (not Covid vaccines, as far as I know), but supposedly the risk is small.
There's obviously a risk with Covid too, though. I'm not that worried for myself, but I don't want to end up infecting others if I get infected.

i totally agree. I'm glad that we're not doing the blood clot one here -if it is causing blood clots. But any new vaccine makes me nervous. In a perfect world we'd have time to study all this stuff. My dad is getting vaccinated tomorrow and I'm nervous for him but he's high risk for covid so i think it's worth it. It's stressful!

I know! It's a tough decision. Like you said, a lot of medications/health products are considered safe, and then a while later, you see those commercials for lawsuits against those same products.

That was when i first came back after being gone almost two years. It was a mission to bring horatio back. So i wanted my name to be horatio related. i thought of horatio from hamlet, the bestest friend a dude could have. Elsinore is the name of the castle where the play takes place. I think dephi was a fun way to spell defy. Defy elsinore, because horatio was the last one left alive. It was threatening lol
