I don't like it when a villain all of the sudden becomes sadistic not because their character has been developed that way but as a cheap trick to get the audience to hate them more.

Whiney villains

When they aren't given a clear motivation for their agenda, and when the wrong actor is chosen to play the character.

When they are transparently evil or nasty, and yet inexplicably widely-loved or respected, at least at the beginning of the film or show.

Usually it's a less major villain that does this, but the protagonist, has one of the villains at gunpoint, and instead of the villain trying to talk him/her into letting them live, they decide to outright antagonize the protagonist by telling them something like "your wife deserved to die" or something along those lines, prompting them to kill them, and you don't buy it at all, and it's annoying, or at least I find.
