I have an electric blanket. It works great. I also have a king sized down comforter that I got from the sportsmanβs guide for the awesome price of $25! A bunch of thick wool blankets as well; my two best being my Hudson Bay Blankets.
If it werenβt for my overactive bladder that forces me to get up more than once a night, Iβd simply pile on the heavy wool blankets, the down comforter, or electric blanket, and call it an evening. Wouldnβt even need any heat.

I recall my parents having an electric blanket in the early 60s when I was a little girl. You could feel the cords throughout the blanket. I understand that they are much nicer and safer these days. I've considered getting one, but I find myself kicking off the covers in the middle of the night… too hot.

I hhave something called a heat pad, made of beads. You put it in a microwave for about 2 and a half minutes and despite its size it does a decent job of warming ones bed. ( crying and hugging my pillow also helps with the cold.
Plus if you get bored you could always tear it open and use the beads for that other thing you gay guys use beads for?
It may be a cheaper option than a whole blanket?
