I'm an atheist and I have no problem with religion. It's purpose is to keep the ignorant unwashed masses moral.

Of course I take exception to the homophobia of Christianity and Judaism. But it's a "baby/bath water" dynamic. I don't care if you don't like my sexuality as long as you don't steal my wallet.

Anyway, yes. Wicca. At first, I thought it's girly stuff (Of course, I was naive to think this as it accepts both gender), but I can't help but become intrigued by some of their methods as well as lore and mythical elements surround this particular religion. I was raised strict catholic, in the schools and all, until i was about 11. Then, as a teenager i got into paganism because i figured since most religious crap i grew up with was just stolen from the pagans, why not start there? But i realized that i was pretty turned off by all of it -just any organized religious group. I usually say I'm atheist if i don't want to explain that i believe we're all connected on a real spiritual level that science will be able to explain one day

But i do miss the community of the church. I was trying to find something like that for my family pre-pandemic but there's nothing nonreligious that really compares
