Re: Haven't posted on here for a while, gotta question…
That's what I was generally thinking, Nan. I ask this because mostly because it seems like there are fewer emotional threads on Sharon's board about what happened to her than there are emotional threads on Roman's board about what he did. It's always seemed skewed this way to me and it's always bothered me a whole lot, and the bottom line that so many people are so outraged by what he did in 1977 to the extent where - when what happened to Sharon and the baby is brought up in the form of mitigating circumstances, i.e., HAVE SOME MERCY ON THIS POOR MAN'S SOUL - people who hate him are pretty much like "I don't care what happened to Sharon Tate or the baby!" and that pushes all my buttons.
I think most people who hate Roman hate him simply because he pretty much escaped the justice system and in their mindset that is something they cannot reconcile themselves to, and they just can't let go. I understand fair, but many of these people have a weird sense of proportion. They couldn't care less about Samantha Geimer or that she was raped. The ONLY thing they care about is that Roman pretty much got away with it and now something is amiss on the kindergarten playground.
What upsets me so very much is that they do not have an ounce of the outrage towards Sharon's murder that they have towards Roman Polanski escapb68ing justice. You can tell what they're thinking. "Yeah, what happened to Sharon Tate is terrible and awful, but that's just something that happens sometimes. BLAH BLAH. People are NOT allowed to escape justice, though! That is inexcusable!
I'd like to think, Nan, that most people think the way you and I do, and I guess deep down I know that they do. It's just the RP haters who purport to be all about justice, when really they are only bloodthirsty genetic aberrations. The idea of justice tempered with mercy does not suit their unbalanced agenda. I think these Polanski hating extremists must have had something happen in their formative years that has caused them to develop ideas about fairness and justice that are pathologically rigid.
I just don't know how many of them are out there. My bottom line has always been cut him some slack.

Most people who vilify Polanski on this board Mr. H, have a skewed, distorted and askew perspective of the Geimer incident. I would say about most things in life as well. It's like it is the worst thing that could ever happened to somebody, and the worst thing that somebody could do to someone, and the worst thing that Polanski could have ever done, over and above what he endured in Nazi Poland and the Manson murders.
You make a good point when you say they don't "really" care about what happened to Geimer, just that they ONLY want to "believe" that he escaped justice. If they did their homework, they wouldn't have much of a leg to stand on regarding the "injustice" of the Polanski\Geimer sex case. I don't even want to claim it as rape, because this would have been a difficult thing to prove in court, considering the lies that were told by the "so-called" innocent Geimer. There were confounded and corrupt agendas by all parties concerned here. Polanski owned up to having sex with her and allegedly, he wasn't the only mature and grown adult male she had had sex with, both before and after Polanski. Why haven't they been arrested? I haven't read her book, but I believe it is all detailed in this.
All she had on her side in terms of the law, was her young agewhich she no doubt would have lied about tooand her provocative and trampish behavior would have had to have been delved into, if it went to trial. Why aren't the haters screaming for the blood of her mother, who solicited her daughter out for a nude photo shoot, and did know her real age? Was Polanski supposed to ask for ID, if he was lied too?
Don't eat the whole ones! Those are for the guests.

Re: Haven't posted on here for a while, gotta question…
I thought it was terrible what happened to all the victims of the Manson Family including Roman Polanski. He survived but his wife and unborn child did not. He has to live with those memories. However it doesn't seem to bother him anymore like I think it should. How could someone ever work again after having experienced that?
Re: Haven't posted on here for a while, gotta question…
What happened to Sharon was obviously much more tragic. People died in that incident for crying out loud. What Polanski did to that girl was terrible but doesn't compare to multiple murders. I think why Polanski is being discussed more right now is because of how so many celebrities are always condemning people like say Casey Affleck because of an accusation of sexual assault while at the same time still supporting Polanski.
Re: Haven't posted on here for a while, gotta question…

___________
What exactly did Polanski do to the girl that was terrible? He didn't plead guilty to rape and there was no forensic evidence to prove rape. Sheeesh! People just believe what they are spoon fed by the media and skim the surface without delving deeper. Or is it that you don't have the integrity to be honest and just go along with what the majority of what the herd believe? There are many layers to the P1354olanski\Geimer case and yet people will just believe what they want too.

It's called mob mentality rules Rascal. The media calls it rape and child molestation, so it's that. Black and white only. The press calls it drugged and raped, that's what it is. Those of us who have researched this case and written on it are called pedophiles and pedo-supporters, but those who call us those names can get away with their behaviour because they are egged on by the mob.

She was too young to consent and she only gave in to get it over with. While she gave consent, it is illegal consenting to the older adult party, but that legality is on them.
She wasn't exactly consenting to something she wasn't familiar with, she was experienced, and Polankski was very foolish to take the bait her mother dangled before him.
What her mother did could also be considered grooming her underage daughter, that she knew full well wasn't legal age. Geimer had apparently also had sex with her mother's bf and not to mention her own adult aged bf.
Its such a messy incident and I haven't read her books, but I often wonder how old she told Polanski she was and if he himself knew she was a minor. At the time and coming from France, it wasn't considered illegal in this European country.
Polanski was thinking with his wrong head.
Norman! What did you put in my tea?

Re: Haven't posted on here for a while, gotta question…
Hutch, when you or anyone state that Roman "escaped justice" you fail to note that he served his time as per what Roger Gunson, the original prosecutor has been trying to tell the whole frigging world. Polanski ran from INJUSTICE, there's a difference. He complied with everything that was asked of him and he was promised something in return for his compliance. And that was time served for the one count of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor. All agreed including Geimer, her mother, her father (an attorney), her lawyer Lawrence Silver, District Attorney Roger Gunson, Douglas Dalton (Polanski's attorney) and Roman Polanski himself. And here is the catch: So did the judge Laurence Rittenband. It was only AFTER his country club pals began giving him grief for perhaps going easy on Polanski that Rittenband suddenly reneged TWICE on the plea agreement and decided that Polanski would serve almost an indeterminate time for what was largely a misdemeanor. So Rittenband reneging on his agreement twice is like the judge reneging on the plea agreement granting Linda Kasabian full immunity for her testimony against Manson, Krenwinkel, Watson, Atkins, and Van Houten. No one would unduly undo a plea agreement that had taken months to work out. When even the prosecutor Gunson said, "I understand why he did what he did" when he fled. It's a little telling. Rarely do you have a prosecutor actually siding with the accused, but here is Gunson standing by his convictions of his support of Polanski and the rule of law.
Samantha Geimer has little care for seeing Polanski punished. She in fact has campaigned openly to have the case closed and Polanski exonerated. That's telling in and of itself. That would be like Sharon Tate campaigning to have her murderers released. Do you see what I mean?
As for what happened to Sharon, Jay, Voytek, Abigail, Steven, Leno and Rosemary, I find it disgusting when people say that Manson "missed one" meaning Polanski. No one more than Polanski regrets not being there. In his autobiography Roman states that he felt that had he been there that night, he and Voytek would have been able to do something to try to change the variable. I wish he had, but then people blame him for not being there. They find all kinds of excuses to blame Roman for having not been there and that 5b4is wrong. There was enough carnage between those two nights to not wish death on another human being who was innocent. The only thing Sharon's fans have on Roman is his philandering, and his so-called disinterest in Sharon or her feelings on his sleeping around. They refuse to accept that Sharon married him despite his shortcomings. They don't want to grant Sharon one iota of autonomy. But all their friends have stuck by Roman. Gene Gutowski, Warren Beatty, Andy Braunsberg, and the rest have all stuck by him because they know him and knew her. I remember Gene Gutowski saying about Sharon, "Gene, I know Roman is screwing around. But he's my Roman and I love him."
There is no doubt that Geimer's account pales in comparison to what happened to Sharon and the baby. Geimer wouldn't know adversity if it hit her in the face. My issue with anyone who pontificates on Roman's indiscretion is that he didn't do anything at least six other men also did. It's all about putting it all into perspective.

Oh, Prometheus, I was not saying that I myself think that Roman Polanski "escaped justice". Not at all. If I wanted to get holier than thou dramatic about it I would say that God owes Roman Polanski an apology. Though Roman is too busy in making movies to much care about apologies
No, for the likes of Roman Polanski, I am a big, blubbering bleeding heart.
I was talking about the a$$holes who will not stop screaming for his blood. And just why is it that some people are so much more eager to be outraged about this so-called escaping justice than they are able to feel outrage about the Holocaust (if they even are aware that he lived through it) or the Sharon Tate massacre.
I will say that from the responses from posters thus far, it's a nice feeling to not have come across the a$$holes. I mean, on this one topic, I am totally ready to be emotionally provoked and to give it back times a thousand, but it's still heartening to realize there are people who feel bad for the guy.
Roman Polanski learned how to dodge the Nazis at the age of eight by fashioning a foreskin out of wax. This alone should command awe. He learned about fleeing and hiding and becoming extremely resourceful at a very early age and then these total a$$holes come on here and have the gall to not be, at the very least, totally impressed by the man's capacity to endure horror.
I can't even comprehend which thing was worse. Losing half his family to the Holocaust or losing his wife and unborn baby to outright slaughter. I mean just one of those things happening to a person, and the mind reels But Roman Polanski suffered the unthinkable TWICE Uggghhh. And these dumb, lily white schmucks come on here like they think they know something and demand justice. Wow. I just can't even fathom it. Where is the perspective? I am in awe of this man, and if I ever met him in real life, I would just want to fall to my knees and kiss his feet.
You know, I think it's kind of like the whole concept of paying one's dues in life. And Roman Polanski, to my way of seeing things, has "paid his dues" about 700 times over. I am serious. And so when these a$$holes say "What happened to Roman Polanski does not give him a free pass!" my most immediate, genuine and heartfelt reaction becomes "Yes, it does! It absolutely does! What happened to Roman Polanski gives him carte blanche to do whatever he wants to do!"
And I say all this only with the total sense that Roman Polanski fundamentally has a good heart. I would not be so fanatical if it weren't my own impression that there wasn't sweetness and kindness and gentleness and warmth in this person. (Not to mention I absolutely love his movies. I love Hitchcock, but personally I think Polanski is better.) It is simply that I like the man a whole lot, and if I had that kind of godlike power I would take it upon myself to find ways to make it up to him. As it is, about all I can do is express my opinion and stay devoted in my heart. And, of course, watch his movies. I have felt this way about Roman Polanski ever since I read about his life and that's been years ago.

Better watch out. Idiots like Numby will come along and call you a pedophile, like he has me and others about a hundred or so times, or better yet, a pedo-supporter. It's not like three psychiatrists refused to denote him that. Nah, better to still call him something he's not. And yes, God does owe Polanski a huge apology. Some will say to you that "it doesn't matter about the Holocaust or what happened to Sharon Tate, he's a pedophile and deserves to either be raped in prison, or die himself." That's how it'll go.
I will say that from the responses from posters thus far, it's a nice feeling to not have come across the a$$holes. Just wait. When Numby gets a hold of this post, he'll be here to spread his filth. Even though he demands respect for Trump who said with his own filthy mouth he'll walk up to a woman an just grab her pussy. I will always support anyone who supports Polanski, and as I've noted here about a thousand times or so, I'll support Polanski to my last dying breath.

Heck at twelve, he beat to a pulp a guy who was twice the size of him for stealing his bicycle. Unlike Samantha Geimer who wouldn't know adversity, Polanski was fighting for his life throughout the war. Then fighting the Communist brand who wanted to dictate his film style and what films he would make in Lodz.
I can't even comprehend which thing was worse. Losing half his family to the Holocaust or losing his wife and unborn baby to outright slaughter. I'm in complete and total agreement. The nature of the "Geimer Affair" makes it harder since it's of all things, a "sex crime". I know for me as a victim of rape, I cannot take Geimer seriously when she openly campaigns for his exoneration. With all this man has suffered and continues to suffer from people like Numby, I like you just want to embrace him and tell him how much he's meant in my life.
You know, I think it's kind of like the whole concept of paying one's dues in life. And Roman Polanski, to my way of seeing things, has "paid his dues" about 700 times over. I am serious. To the bold part, when Geimer's mother more or less threw Geimer at Polanski.. Sort of makes it hard to feel any eb68mpathy, particularly when the bitch lies through her teeth and constantly. For me he does get a pass because no one was harmed here.
And I say all this only with the total sense that Roman Polanski fundamentally has a good heart. Anjelica Huston when she was arrested on possession of Cocaine in the "Geimer Affair" said to the *beep* detective Phillip Vannatter, "I don't think Roman is a bad man. I sense a profound sadness in him.." Full stop. This is so true of who he was before Emmanuelle and their children. I'd hoped for this happiness for him for so long. To finally have that peace that had eluded him for so long. That peace that should have been his back on August 9, 1969 at the stroke of midnight California time. That happiness that I'm sure would have been his later that month with the birth of his first child. That one he never got to see or hold. Most of the people who have worked with him have said they feel that same kindness in him. That's why he's so beloved by the people who have worked with him. People like Harrison Ford, Sigourney Weaver, Ben Kingsley, Ewan McGregor, Peter Coyote, Kim Catrall and many more. And like you I feel the same about him.

You are right about one thing. Hell wouldn't want me because I don't support pedo's like you scumbags do.
It is amazing that you "think" I'm the bad guy because I don't support pedo's.

It's amazing you THINK. And you are the bad guy here because it doesn't matter how many times we've told you that THREE PSYCHIATRISTS that were COURT APPOINTED found Polanski not to be a pedophile, you continue to believe he is. I don't support pedos either, but when this one was found not to have been by three professionals, it's a little hard to listen to you continue your tirades like a little six year old who has just been told you can't have the cookie before dinner. And that's what you're doing, throwing a temper tantrum thinking that if you do it enough we'll "get it" and begin joining in the chorus you feel entitled to sing.

Re: Haven't posted on here for a while, gotta question…
that THREE PSYCHIATRISTS that were COURT APPOINTED found Polanski not to be a pedophile,
We've been over this before, cVnt. You7ec are clinging to outdated standards. That means you were ok with slave owners raping and killing their slaves because the standards back then said it was ok.
According to Polanski he did it because:
1. Everybody (especially him) wants to f#$% young girls.
"Judges want to *beep* young girls. Juries want to *beep* young girls everyone wants to *beep* young girls!" -Roman Polanski
2. He said young teen girls turn him on and their awkwardness excites him.
3. He had had sex with many young teen girls as a way to recover from the death of Sharon Tate.
In his autobiography Roman by Polanski published in 1984 (7 years after his guilty plea) he wrote:
Friends brought him to Gstaad to help him recover from his grief over the murder of Sharon Tate. On that visit, in the late sixties, Polanski discovered that Gstaad was, the finishing school capital of the world [with] hundreds of fresh-faced, nubile young girls of all nationalities. Kathy, Madeleine, Sylvia and others whose names I forget played a fleeting but therapeutic role in my life. They were all between sixteen and nineteen years old. . . . They took to visiting my chalet, not necessarily to make lovethough some of them didbut to listen to rock music and sit around the fire and talk. He described sitting in his car outside the schools at night, waiting for his date to climb out over the balcony after roll call. At this age, Polanski wrote, the girls were more beautiful, in a natural, coltish way, than they ever would be again.
The autobiography suggests a lack of contrition about his actions.

The teen age were in the age of consent, you c>nt. They weren't little girls who go to Chuck E. Cheese's.
You're also a c>nt for using this "Outdated Standards" mumbo jumbo. Stop it already.

Vivian, you are too stupid to know what "outdated standards" mean. I'm sure you had to have someone explain it to you.
And, thank you for admitting the girl Polanski raped wasn't able to consent, retard.

Re: Haven't posted on here for a while, gotta question…
No one is saying it is Ok, but with the evidence stacked up against Geimer, even today it doesn't put a favorable light on her. You can't just make up your own story, because you think you have it all sussed out, because you are obsessed, selfish and mentally ill. You are misguided, lack self-awareness and have absolutely no understanding of anything, other than what you think should fit neat and tightly into your own vacuous little dried up pea brain that even rejects you. Even a slug possess more intelligence than you. What don't you get about Polanski pleading GULITY to having sex with a minor and serving his time that was vetted out by the Californian justice system?

Either he raped a 13 year old, or he didn't care that he admitted to it. Neither one is anything you should admire someone for. Had he done that in today's world, he'd be in jail for decades or he would fight every charge to clear his name.
Too bad you Hillary supporters get off on raping children.

Re: Haven't posted on here for a while, gotta question…
No he wouldn't and there was NO EVIDENCE OF RAPE THAT COULD BE PROVEN, UNLESS IT WAS FABRICATED, EVEN BY TODAY'S STANDARDS TOOL. Prove that Polanksi raped Geimer, when he had SEX WITH A MINOR. Do you want to take on the Californian legal system too?

Re: Haven't posted on here for a while, gotta question…
But how can you prove rape?
Unless there is filmed evidence, or a report of a rape around the time and it involved violent visible marks, ala The Accused, it is difficult to prove. Its a their word against the perp.
Polanski claimed he didn't rape her, but technically because she was a minor it was statutory rape, but he wouldn't plead guilty to a rape charge and any evidence that they did have wasn't stacked in Geimer's favour. Hence the plea deal.
They needn't have let Polanski go, he only served half of his plea deal sentence of 90days, and then the judge, Rittenband, acted legally unethical after the fact of the agreed plea deal and botched the whole thing up even more.
Norman! What did you put in my tea?

Nope, I love myself. I hate scumbags who celebrity worship a turd like pedo Polanski because we all know that if were a regular person who was accused of doing what the pedo did you wouldn't support him at all.
It is a shame you Hillary supporters don't get that.

Yeah, you love yourself in the self-serving manner a narcissist would. You don't even know what love is and you express none of it in your inaccurate, desperate and misguided posts. Yes, you are a turd and moronic one at that.
Re: Haven't posted on here for a while, gotta question…
At least I don't support pedos and I don't worship celebrities like you Hillary supporters do.
Re: Haven't posted on here for a while, gotta question…
Well, you must support yourself then, because you are a pedo.

No, you Hillary supporter, I'm not. I don't want anything to do with that. Not only would I never support a celebrity whom I've never met if they did anything like that, I wouldn't support my best friend if they did.
You Hillary supporters just accept rape as part of your culture and don't question it.

But you don't have any friends, so how would you know pedo loser? Everyone that knows you, know that you are a Hillary supporter and you are despised more than Polanski ever could be, you pedo obsessed freak. Don't try to project all your pedo insecurities onto everyone else, it is your issue to deal with, so go and take your pedo meds like a good little doggie.

Nice try, go back to sucking Hillary's d!ck since you are so good at it.
Seriously, it isn't like pedo polanski is some innocent person who is completely innocent of all of these things2000. But, you Hillary supporters act like he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Re: Haven't posted on here for a while, gotta question…
Nobody has said he was completely innocent. HE PLEADED GUILTY TO SEX WITH A MINOR BY HIS OWN ADMISSION, so what is your point?

Other than your Goddess the Nympho Geimer, she admits she had sex with at least six to eight other guys. So looks like you're diminished yet again since she can't keep her story straight.

I'll take whatever the hell I want out on you because you've been denying that Samantha lied for at least a year and a half. Rascal doesn't disagree with me, he believes like I do that Samantha the Nympho lied. So this is your goddess, the one you support because those voices in your head tells you that she can do no wrong. She has slept with at least eight other guys by her own admission. Yet the only one you have jumped on is Polanski.. Why not go to her board in these waning days and vent your contempt for her since she LIED. And I don't give a crap what Rascal says or doesn't say. You have as yet to grasp the concept of HONEY TRAP. Just ask Roscoe Fatty Arbuckle about that one.

Re: Haven't posted on here for a while, gotta question…
So rascal is saying that your pedo god is incredibly stupid and admitted to a sex crime even though he didn't do it. And yet you cVnts worship him.
Of course, he took photos of her naked so that would put him in prison for a long time regardless.

Polanski did have sex with a minor IDIOT, which he admitted too.
Seriously. Your minions aren't toeing the line.
Re: Haven't posted on here for a while, gotta question…
Ok, as you see, promethedumzz says he's innocent of it. So, which is it? Do you dare to disagree with her, or are you saying he's a complete and utter idiot for admitting to a sex crime he didn't commit?
And, if he didn't commit a sex crime, then what are you saying with this?
Oh, and if you would - please don't PM/e-mail promethedumbazz to find out what she thinks you should post.

Polanski did have sex with a minor IDIOT, which he admitted too. You want it to be rape. Polanski was entrapped and DIDN'T know her age and like Prom said, heard about the HONEY TRAP. He was INADVERTENTLY foolish for having sex with the wrong person, who was anything but innocent. DO YOU UNDERSTAND, RAPE WASN'T THE CHARGE HE ADMITTED TOO AS THERE WASN'T ENOUGH EVIDENCE TO PROVE IT?

Like I said, you pedo lovers can't even agree on what was done.
It was rape, because she was 13 and could not consent to sex. Non-consensual = rape. Even today, if you have had sex with an adult woman several times, go out, she gets drunk and you go back home and she starts doing sexual things with you, you can easily be charged with rape since she is not able to consent to sex.
I don't know how much simpler I can make it for you morons.
Polanski was entrapped
Entrapment only happens with regards to law enforcement. They have to offer something against the law. When it is done by private citizens, it isn't any kind of legal defense.
DIDN'T know her age
That is no excuse or defense. It is always up to the adult to know their partners age.
who was anything but innocent.
Irrelevant. Any lawyer who tries to bring a person's virtue into a case risks being held in contempt.
Unlike what promethedumazz and vivian do, this isn't stuff I'm making up. Google it. See for yourself. I'm sure you won't, and if you do, still disagree with it.
Re: Haven't posted on here for a while, gotta question…
Had it been a rape charge and Polanski had gone to trial, IT HAS TO BE PROVEN. You have been told a trillion and one times about the evidence stacking up against Geimer for a rape charge, and yes her virtue would have been in contention had this happened. The only contempt around here is expressed by you.

I am much, much, much more affected and upset when I think about Sharon in 1969. I don't know if I can assume that most people are going to feel the same way or not.
