American Murder: The Family Next Door : This is so sad

This is so sad

☹️

Azn: “He (Orsen) now pretends to be in his 50s, but is in his 70s or close to 80 yo.”

Re: This is so sad

Fucking crazy Americans, amigo!

Hep: "I'll post a topless picture if you do the same ;)"

Re: This is so sad

I just watched the last bit of this. One of the most gripping and depressing documentaries I have ever seen. I was close to giving up before it ended as it was just brutal.

Azn: “He (Orsen) now pretends to be in his 50s, but is in his 70s or close to 80 yo.”

Re: This is so sad

I remember the case.
It's always harder to watch this stuff when kids are involved, not sure I'll be able to watch it tbh

Re: This is so sad

I had no knowledge of the case whatsoever so it kicked me right in the stomach.

Azn: “He (Orsen) now pretends to be in his 50s, but is in his 70s or close to 80 yo.”

Re: This is so sad

Netflix do some excellent true crime documentaries. Have you watched others?

This one is on he too.

Re: This is so sad

I haven’t seen that, but I do love the American true crime docus and I’ve seen most of the well critically received ones.

The ending to The Jinx was particularly good.

Re: This is so sad

have u seen this one? it's not a documentary but a movie based on the real case of Sylvia Likens with Ellen Page and Catherine Keener…

the movie is hard to watch but the wiki article on the real case is already so harrowing, reading it traumatised me for weeks… i think i'm still not over it, really.

suck it. Vlad is not real.

Re: This is so sad

Re: This is so sad

thank u, Nina. u're a real one.

suck it. Vlad is not real.

Re: This is so sad

Wasn't there another movie about this? The Girl Next Door?

Re: This is so sad

yes but that one is based on a book which is based on the real case, as i've heard, whereas An American Crime is directly telling the events of the real case. i havent seen The Girl Next Door yet tho.

suck it. Vlad is not real.

Re: This is so sad

Ok thanks, I'll skip both movies though, too cruel.

Re: This is so sad

probably good decision. as i've said, reading up on the real case really traumatised me and i'm not exaggerating. and here's from the wiki page of The Girl Next Door:

Stephen King said about the film, "The first authentically shocking American film I've seen since Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer over 20 years ago. If you are easily disturbed, you should not watch this movie. If, on the other hand, you are prepared for a long look into hell, suburban style, The Girl Next Door will not disappoint."

i am easily disturbed especially when knowing that this happened for real

suck it. Vlad is not real.

Re: This is so sad

Also, do you not think Americans just seem generally…bonkers 😂? There’s way too many cases like this. In Tiger King every person they interviewed seemed more deranged than the last.

You just have to look at the current presidential race, featuring a billionaire sociopath and an old man who belongs in an old folks home. In comparison in the UK, we have Boris (Eton and Oxford educated) and Starmer (1st class hons in law and former QC).

That said, I’m also watching Des atm .

Re: This is so sad

Have you watched When They See Us? I'm very passionate about it

Re: This is so sad

No, but I remember you recommending it before and that it’s critically well rated. Just added it on my todo list:

Kiri
Mr robot
The expanse
Fargo
Twilight zone
Raised by Wolves
Westworld
Des
The Affair
When They See Us

Re: This is so sad

I’m also watching the third day. It’s good if you like Jude Law, but the plot is overdone (man on a strange island and bizarre things happen)

Re: This is so sad

You do a lot of watching 👍

You’re one of the good guys, my lady .

Re: This is so sad

Tiger King? Yes everyone in it was completely insane, addicted to keeping wild
animals etc by definition that is ' king nuts, "only in America" stuff for sure.

Yup Des, I loved it but then DT can do no wrong in my eyes. The real Denis capitalised on our (authority 's) total lack of sympathy for displaced young males, especially homosexual males.

Shameful.

Now, what's your view on Lozza Fox?

Re: This is so sad

Those innocent babies. How evil can one get?

Re: This is so sad

The guy was having an affair I think? I haven't watched it so don't know why he killed the children. Didn't he blame the wife?

Re: This is so sad

Yes, he was having an affair. He's a narcissist and a sociopath

Re: This is so sad

The polygraph and interrogation scene was incredibly riveting.

Re: This is so sad

Those cops were smart. Surprised he didn’t have a lawyer tho.

Re: This is so sad

Just watched this. Devastated.

Re: This is so sad

Horrendous.

Psychopath? Sociopath? What?

I’m watching borat 2 😂. Different vibe

Azn: “He (Orsen) now pretends to be in his 50s, but is in his 70s or close to 80 yo.”

Re: This is so sad

Still processing. Fat guy, gets skinny and fit, meets new bird, wants to ditch wife.
How do we get from that to murdering wife and kids, dumping them in oil tank?

All of that perfect life on social media stuff too.

Borat? The Giuliani thing?

Re: This is so sad

It was interesting with no narration and just seeing the facts.

I thought those 2 cops were fucking awesome.

The lefties wanting to reduce funds given to the police are the biggest mongos on the planet

Re: This is so sad

Yes, it was fascinating just watching the whole thing unfold like that. Her friend was also amazing.

I can't stop thinking about it all.

Re: This is so sad

Hopefully the production team do more docus.

I confess that I had similar thoughts (minus the whole murder stuff of course) when Chris Pratt divorced Anna Faris. I know we, the public, never know what goes on in other peoples' private lives. I just found the timing interesting that when he got super fit, his marriage ended and he got a new girlfriend and remarried.

Seems to be a pattern. (Again, minus the murder stuff).
