The Soapbox : Why does this forum attract so many people with mental health conditions?

I don't mean that as a negative thing, not about the individuals (such as myself i guess? autistic, medicated depression/anxiety) or the forum itself. In fact non-neurotypical peeps are MY peeps and all… but like, what is it that attracts so many to THIS particular forum? Let us ponder this sociologically!

a big part of the standard appeal of "lolcows".. though i think my ego is untethered enough to not put myself above or below the weird and wonderful people out there and just be curious these days.
