The Dry Valleys of Antarctica has an average annual rainfall of exactly zero inches, and it's been that way for around two million years, making it the driest place on Earth. They have extremely low humidity, due to 200 mph winds that quickly evaporate any moisture, and mountains that block sea ice from entering the valleys and make it the largest ice-free region in Antarctica.
The area has conditions similar to Mars, and scientists have not found any living organisms-not even microbial- in the Dry Valleys.
Another famously dry spot is Chile's Alacama Desert, where some regions haven't received rain in more than 500 years.
