Film Art and Cinematography : Here are the basic lessons for writing reviews 101

Here are the basic lessons for writing reviews 101

I've seen so many terribly written reviews from members of filmboards. I'd gotten very lazy with mine too.

I think we should get back on track regarding posting reviews for anything.

Every single film or TV series review should have these 7 basic elements.

Only film or TV productions. No pornography at all. Use IMDb as a reference. I do.

1. An introduction

2. A summary of the film

3. Be sure to warn of spoilers

4. Write the actor's name to the characers they portray.

5. Mention the director and screenwriter.

6. Discuss the mood of the film using
the most creative language as possible that provides your reader with a visual picture in their mind.

7. Discuss other projects the director
has done previously.

What if it was their first project?

“There are no atheists in foxholes, eh?”-Keith Jennings from the Omen.

If there are no previous film or TV projects that director has done, then simply mention that fact for your readers.

Re: Basic lessons for writing reviews 101

You can also mention work of note they might have produced in other media.

Re: Basic lessons for writing reviews 101

I mean.. it's only those 7 basic requirements. I cannot write the entire review for you.😐

Re: Basic lessons for writing reviews 101

Didn’t ask you to, I just offered an alternative suggestion.

Re: Basic lessons for writing reviews 101

What I'm saying is that the 7 elements I listed are the basics required for every film or TV review posted to filmboards. I don't understand why the argument?

Re: Basic lessons for writing reviews 101

I wasn’t arguing.

Re: Basic lessons for writing reviews 101

Okay🙂 were you asking for more writing tips from me?

Re: Basic lessons for writing reviews 101

No but thanks anyway, I never attempt to write reviews simply because I grow tired of my own words after a few lines. That’s why I rarely write much.

Re: Basic lessons for writing reviews 101

Suit yourself, stammer.
