I just read that Atom Egoyan has given up directing films and has started teaching.

This is ridiculous! Where is all the millions of bucks we dropped on this guy's films while other Canadian filmmakers who HAD to have better projects got shut out of Telefilm money?

Those were loans! When you get a loan you pay it back! This article says he owes $48 million dollars. This is insane!

What did Atom Egoyan do to you? More than step on your big toe, eh, Magnificos. You do come up with some quite motivated vitriol. You tell us you just read a blog when actually you've written the piece yourself! And posting under a different name jeb2 to cement your campaign against the dark triumvirate of Egoyan/Mckellar/Lantos. It's a bit of a giveway when you have to express everything in the same adolescent WHINE.

I like that point about Citizan Kane (that great example of a 'genre movie') you make by the way, about it being a great film and then keep insisting great films always make money.
