Kevin Spacey : douchebag.

douchebag.

apparently he 5b4 's one of the hardest to work with actors in hollywood. i can definitely see the arrogance in his face

Re: douchebag.

that's not what i've heard at all...

if hes so hard to work with why would Sam Mendes, David Fincher AND Bryan Singer all work with him again?

I think you're thinking of another actor.

Re: douchebag.

because he's a damn good actor. there are plenty of good actors that are difficult to work with who still work

Re: douchebag.

oh please can you just go back to the Richard Gere board and whatever other actor's board you troll and call them a douchebag too? Thanks.

In theatre, you can have a lot more input but in film, an actor has less degree unless they are also producing or executive producing. Can you please name one film, apart from Seven (might I add that Spacey's idea to be removed from the credits was a great idea), where he was not a producer or exec producer and had a lot of input?
He has even stated himself that when he first saw American Beauty, it was cut completely different to the scenes they had shot.

Maybe if you read a recent interview with Robin Wright about being on the very same set as Mara with Spacey you would get a different depiction.

I doubt he would boss another actor around but rather just give them advice. And what up and coming actor wouldn't take advice from him? Have you never at the beginning of your career had the people above you act tough on you? Didn't it actually prove helpful to you? Or do you not actually work and just stir *beep* gossip over the internet?

Right...again stories...are these by the same so called sources?

And i'm not a big fanboy i'm just stating the truth. Its a shame when there are particular people out there who have kept their integrity still get given *beep*

Oh also if he were such a douchebag, why would he waste his time doing workshops for acting students and starting his foundation which offers s b68 cholarships to acting students who need it? Do you see Brad Pitt or other tabloid fodder stars (I don't regard him an actor) doing that?

Re: douchebag.

doing charity work doesn't preclude someone from being an arrogant person. i mean, plenty of actors do charity work because it makes em look good! and brad pitt does plenty of charity work, btw.
and just because spacey has celeb friends doesn't mean he makes it easy for lesser knowns to work with him.
obviously there are very few sources who speak out by name regarding how much they hate working with an actor, but usually a reputation builds over time.

Re: douchebag.

you spelled 'translator' incorrectly...
it's ironic how the users who call out other posters for being inarticulate or stupid are often the dumbest of all.

oh, the internet.

Re: douchebag.

lolol are you 70 or something and fail to understand writing without caps on the internet is a stylistic thing? fool.

just because an actor sets up programs for young actors doesn't mean he isn't arrogant.

Re: douchebag.

stop projecting your own lack of an education onto me.

you're ridiculous.

Re: douchebag.

Well said

Re: douchebag.

You both make great arguments.
- I don't have a clue.

But I have to be sure first: Is OP aware that "Horrible Bosses" is NOT a documentary?

Re: douchebag.

Kevin Spacey is a boss. One of the best actors around.

Re: douchebag.

Yeah he sure is

Re: douchebag.

mr spacey, as is the case with many individuals, does not enjoy a pristine reputation -- in hollywood, nyc theater world nor personally -- based on details offered by industry insiders and others

that being said he is a huma 5b4 n being as are we are we all & none of us are perfect ( except the guy who died on a cross in Roman-occupied Judea about 1980 years ago... )

Re: douchebag.

I've worked with him. He was fine.

Re: douchebag.

Whose to say? Unless you met him and then fine freely share. Hope he's not. But lotsa actors turn out to be disappointing as humans.

Re: douchebag.

Those are just roles, though. He played a serial killer in Se7en but I'm sure he's not some psycho out there killing people and basing his murders on the seven deadly sins...unless he is, in which case I take it back

Re: douchebag.

Did you work with him ? If not, you should have the decency of shutting the F up, instead of trolling so much.

Re: douchebag.

I know people who work in the industry and they all say he is toxic to work with. Like, avoid at all costs, if you can possibly manage it.

Re: douchebag.

Yep he's pretty known for being a douche.

Being a closet case must be frustrating these days.

Or maybe he's jsut the pompous douchey actor that most people know him for

Re: douchebag.

He does what ever he wants and he has every right to do so. If it makes him look like a douchebag then oh well. Lots of people like that in the world. The trick in life is just learning how to deal with them. I'm only disappointed that he chooses not to really make big budget type movies anymore. If he would've kept on the path he was on from the 90's we would've been blessed with so many more great roles he would've played.

Re: douchebag.

Yep.

Yes, this is really me.
