I googled the words: "sean connery wife" and I saw pics of him and his wife and thought, "Wow!" That is not a good look. From her earlier pics from the 60s and 70s she doesn't look too bad. So how can someone deteriorate so much? I asked my brother about this and he said, "It's because he slapped her around too much."

Is that true? Did Sean Connery slap his wife around so much that it messed up her face?

Your comments are reflective of someone who knows nothing about the fear of being with someone who beats you and threatens to kill you if you leave. His first wife finally DID leave him for his abusive behavior. Good on her. You apparently know nothing about domestic violence. There are some books out there about this subject. Also, just for the record, a good many women are actually murdered when they attempt to leave their abusive boyfriends/husbands. They are stalked like animals and then murdered.

if he did beat his wife why trust him to do the "James Bond" movies i remember that bond film when he was so angry that villain killed his wife he grabbed the woman by the bathing suit nearly choked her and that other one for information he nearly beat her to death or something. Is this why they got Moore and the other guys to do Bond because they found out Sean is a bit dangerous?

To play devil's advocate, how can we be sure that she wasn't lying to make him look bad and gain publicity? After all, her career took a backseat to his and it never recovered after they split up.

Im glad you stated this as very few ever bring it up, though I think if this was to happen today, I would think it was for fame and attention most likely, though the fact it happened back then makes me want to believe, also Connery has been asked before if you should hit a women and he said that they should get hit if nothing else works, so for me personally I beleive Diane.

Also if this WAS for fame she did not do too well the only movie I can think7ec that she was in, was The Wickerman, and that was not even that big.

(This is not directed towards you by the way but) The thing I hate the most about talking about this topic is the people who deny it without even looking into the matter, Connery in a way can be excused for doing what he did (because of how society did not care so much about wife beating back then) though to todays standards this is completely unnecessary.
