We should figure out a meeting place. We've all spent a lot of time here discussing her favorite movies and TV shows, so if we plan to continue to do that maybe we can try to keep an informal "announcement" or agreement?

Reddit? I am not a fan of their organization. It's a little chaotic for my tastes. But if enough people went there, I would at least check it out.

IGN.com? I don't know if they have message boards, but they do have a really active comments section.

All of the Star Wars forums are for fanboys. I won't set my foot in such a nasty place. We need an independent platform, not one run by losers shilling for Disney in exchange of toy figurines and stickers.

Agreed,imo. I just got banned for criticizing the prequels. They actually have it in their rules that you can't criticize too harshly and are not allowed to compare any movies from different eras to each other. Place is a fanboy forum.

You also don't get access to all the boards after joining. Even after creating an account, you still have to request permission to post on certain boards. It's the exact opposite of IMDb - too moderated.

I've never been to Reddit but I suppose I'll check it out. I'll be back on theforce.net quite a bit, but there's only so much Star Wars to talk about. I'll miss my Aliens, Predator, Die Hard, Walking Dead, Marvel movies, Film General and James Bond forums.

Starwars.com had forums years ago, but they weren't very good, and everyone tended to flock to theforce.net, which is still the place to discuss Star Wars. Well, the films, anyway. The Rebelscum forums are best for Star Wars toys and collectibles.

Don't trust the newly created IMDB 2.0 board or similar boards that were created this last week. The people who set them up have access to your IP address and personal info. I've seen some really ugly drama in similar boards where admins extort users and make their private information public. It's a troll's heaven. Just a warning.

Yeah, HTF is a solid joint. They don't take sht from anybody, but they don't treat people like children either. Lots of legit, intelligent actual human people post and moderate there.
