Spider-Man: Homecoming : Questions for fans about spiderman

Questions for fans about spiderman

What do you personally want from a spiderman film an what have you liked or diss liked about the previous films. Also what villain would you personally like to see

Re: Questions for fans about spiderman

I'd like some of the villains to be more unsympathetic. I personally didn't like the way Green Goblin or Doc Ock was done in the Raimi Spider-Man films. In the comics, Norman and Green Goblin are the same personality. Norman is pretty insane and sadistic even before he becomes the Green Goblin. His origin in the comics is that he was a guy that was more focused on becoming rich and powerful than he was raising his son. He became the Green Goblin just to become more powerful. Not because he was losing his company and needed to test a serum.

As for Doc Ock, he was not being controlled by AI in his tentacles in the comics like he was in the movie. He also was a messed up guy before his accident. I just prefer him to be unsympathetic like he is in the comics. Hopefully we get a more unsympathetic version of him in future movies.

I am not the biggest fan of Sand Man but I hate how he was made Uncle Ben's killer. I also hate how at the end of Spider-Man 3 Peter lets him go running off to see his daughter despite the fact he has injured/killed innocent people with his powers and needs to stand trial for that. But nope. He just lets him go flying off in a sand storm.

Harry as the Goblin wasn't focused on enough in Spider-Man 3. Though it seems that was always going to be the case since there were always going to be 3 villains in the movie. Also Topher Grace as Eddie Brock was the worst casting ever! Raimi may not have been the biggest fan of Venom but that he had to do him into a nerd. Also the black suit is supposed to up negative emotions. Not make someone act like a dork.

I also didn't like Spider-Man losing his powers in Spider-Man 2 and felt the Spider-Man No more storyline shouldn't have been done at all. Took up too much of the movie.

"I'll be back!" The Terminator

Re: Questions for fans about spiderman

I diddnt mind the sympathetic villains in the first two but i diddnt like sand man in 3.The retcon of him killing uncle ben was very bad it totally defeats the first film in that it was peters fault his uncle died if you go by 3 regardless of if he stopped the dude it wouldnt have mattered. As for spiderman loosing his powers in the second one that was the meant as the main story of that film ramis films are about a boy figuring out who he is so the second film is about him being unsure if he wants to be spiderman. As for spiderman 3 i diddnt mind the casting of venom because he was meant to represent an alternate version of peter.he just wasnt buff like the comic book one but a buff actor that can act is very difficulty to find.my problem with venom was he was wasted an diddnt have the imposing feel of the comic character mostly because he was never given a chance to be evil he was there then gone. Also i would have liked no venom at all in spiderman 3 an instead have harry as the main villain along with sandman

In the comics the black suit didn't effect Peter's personaity at all. The reason why Peter got rid of it was because he found out the costume was alive, and he freaked out. And the black suit would use Peter's body to go web swinging at night while Peter was asleep, and that made Peter super tired. Which made fighting crime a lot more diffucult for him cause he couldn't focus.

The black suit effecting Peter's personaity was something that was created for the 90's cartoon.

Re: Questions for fans about spiderman

xx. An actual venom that is a huge beast.

xx.A schizophrenic psychopathic Carnage.

xx.A goblin that does the goblin justice.

xx.More montages of Spidey swinging around and catching street thugs.

xx.a NEW villain done specifically for a movie. Make the experience something COMPLETELY new instead of just adapting comic villains.

xx.A team-up movie with Deadpool. Altho in honesty i would want my deadpool to be more sympathetic than Ryan's latest incarnation. i.e he was a good guy before he became Deadpool, and the transformation made him extremely mentally unstable, but still with his own warped sense of duty for the common good. It would put him more on spidey's level morally speaking and it would be easier to rationalise why peter parker would cohort with Deadpool. I'd also prefer if they removed Wade's childhood incest rape.

.and then the bong hits him on the head and he falls RIGHT over the realitY

Re: Questions for fans about spiderman

I don't want a Spider-Man who's too whiny or too snarky;the last two had their strengths but those were my complaints. Villains like Scorpion, Hobgoblin, or Carnage would be great.

Whatever you are, be a good one.

Re: Questions for fans about spiderman

I agree on those villains

Re: Questions for fans about spiderman

I'll give the second series credit on using different villains, aside from Harry that is.

Whatever you are, be a good one.

Re: Questions for fans about spiderman

From the Raimi films I liked that Peter was pretty somber and mature but I didn't like that the focus was so much on Mary Jane (and consequently Flash and the Bugle characters were pretty minimal though of course Simmons was great). I also thought the villains were pretty good but made a bit too sympathetic. I didn't like much from the Webb films other than that the public was initially suspicious of Spider-Man.

The best villains are the Green Goblin and Dr. Octopus (Dr. Octopus maybe makes more sense to see sooner), I also really like Mysterio and Kaven could work.

In general I would prefer most inspiration was from the '60s comics, especially that Peter is initially pretty isolated from others and that the public has mixed feelings about Spider-Man.
