The Backlash of a Black actor to play L proves without doubt there are..

many white supremacists in the anime fan community.

It is clear from all of the defenses of the Hollywood whitewashing of so many movies based on Japanese properties (of which there is no excuse for because the United States is a multi-ethnic country) that many of these so called "anime fans" are white supremacists. Despite all evidence to the country of their delusional beliefs (e.g. anime characters are made to look white even though white people are drawn differently by being given bigger noses, bigger chins, etc... and the only time whites don't look that different from an Asian character is when the white character is meant to look attractive so they give the white character Asian features), they still hold on like crazy people this absurdly embarrassing notion that all anime is meant to worship white people. Never mind stuff in Japan like this: https://ixquick-proxy.com/do/spg/show_picture.pl?l=english&rais=1&oiu=https%3A%2F%2Fi.ytimg.com%2Fvi%2FDCjxzpSrFP4%2Fhqdefault.jpg&sp=a42e80a032fbcc31ea57911f74170694

they still pretend in their minds that these characters are all white. It is clear why. They are white supremacists and because they are white supremacists them imagining these characters as white is the only way they can enjoy it. Their upbringing has made them so racist that they despise nonwhite people and cannot bring themselves to relate to people that supposedly do not look like them. This is why they cannot accept no matter all the evidence that debunks this nonsense of theirs that anime characters are not made to look white and that America is not a white country.

All this despite the fact that nonwhite people have no problem watching movies with people that do not look like them and can relate to them:

According to a BET Networks report unveiled today, REEL FACTS: A Movie Goer Consumption Study, on average more than 80 percent of the movies African-Americans attend do not feature predominantly Black casts.

Source: http://www.bet.com/news/national/2011/05/24/study-says-black-moviegoers-don-t-watch-just-black-films.html

So when it was announced that a white actor was to play Light Yagami the typical defenses from the typical group came in. However, when it was announced that L was to be played by a black actor suddenly those people turned on the movie and said it was going to be a failure. No one who has experience with these racist clowns should've been surprised by this. So rotten their character is that they believe anime belongs to white people which is why they want to badly to believe these characters are white since it is the only way for white supremacists to enjoy it.

Their defense of a whitewashed Light Yagami but backlash to a black L has only helped prove the racism from this disgusting group of people. Anyone who is classified as "white" deserve everything even if those things are created by nonwhite people according to them. Such is a white supremacist mind. Such is the mind of a lowlife.

Finger crossed that this doesn't end up like Fantastic Four 2015.

Brony who is also a Metallica and Iron Maiden fan.

Re: The Backlash of a Black actor to play L proves without doubt there a

Probably worse. Fant4stic at least got a theatrical release, this is being dumped direct to streaming.

And so Governor Devlin, because even the cost of freedom can be too high, I REFUSE your pardon!

Re: The Backlash of a Black actor to play L proves without doubt there a

C'mon, let's be honest, the reason this might not do well has NOTHING to do with casting decisions but simply because they are making a movie about a popular anime that NOBODY asked for. It's like the same situation with the Riverdale (2017) TV show. Did anyone truly want a live-action re-imagining of the Archie comics? My guess is NO.

Re: The Backlash of a Black actor to play L proves without doubt there a

I love how you're excusing racism by just subbing out "Asian-Washing" for "Attractive Asians."

This is hypocrisy folks. Nothing more to see here.

Re: The Backlash of a Black actor to play L proves without doubt there a

Crazy how people curse a movie when a nonwhite actor gets cast as a white character(usually minor it's rarely a major character) and when a white actors gets cast as a nonwhite main character they defend that casting. Idk how any sane person can do that.

Ask the guards, they'll deny it. Ask the inmates here—they'll cut their tongues out before they talk

Re: The Backlash of a Black actor to play L proves without doubt there a

So let me ge this straight:

-You gladly ignore the fact that everyone complains that the actor that plays Light Yagami looks like a massive *beep* and nobody likes him, as wella s the regular whitewashing complains
-It is forbidden to change the race of a character from asian to white but when it is changed from other races to black it's a-ok. Gotcha. Hypocrisy at its best.

Just, just *beep* off and die.

Some BODY once told me.

Re: The Backlash of a Black actor to play L proves without doubt there a

I might change my mind after I see the movie, for all I know LaKeith could be a really good actor. I was just hoping the movie would be as accurate as possible to the anime.

It's just that the only thing that bothers me about this casting is the same as the most recent Fantastic Four.

And don't get me wrong, I'm also bothered by Nat Wolff playing Light.

My preferred cast would've been this:

Light - Logan Lerman
Misa - Sasha Pieterse
L - Jared Leto (I know he's old but would've killed it)

Whats my favourite episode of Breaking Bad you ask?
The one where Jesse says Bitch.

Claims he is bothered by the casting of Light yet:

still goes on to suggest whitewashing Light.

Re: BrBaFett
