I think maybe because his character is currently deceased, and possibly they probably want to keep Superman under wraps for now.

That's the trick here right? There's a photo with the entire team together (which is edited together), but if you're following the movies as non-message board fan, you're not assuming he's going to just immediately show up, even though the grave scene indicates something is going on.
You knowI really think Superman is going to be even more dark now. Possibly brought back by Steppenwolf as a minion people are going to hate it. Not that I'm assuming it will be bad, just that there will be continued frustration over the fact that he's not saving cats from trees and bumbling around like Reeves kent.

easy answer: Superman is dead currently, he did show up in one group photo last year for Comic Con. he also shows up twice in the "woohoo we're done filming" video.
the WB should be slightly happy with the 2.3ish billion that the 3 movies have made, so i wouldn't expect changes right away unless there's a drastic drop in box office from Wonder Woman to Justice League

Superman is dead, and someone probably wants his resurrection to be a surprise. Which is odd because I think they already released a photo of Cavil's Superman in the ugly black suit. And anyone familiar with the comics should already know way in advance.
