The 400 Tricks of the Devil : Grisly ending

This stuff must have absolutely petrified people in 1906. The ending with the man being roasted alive in Hades is particularly gritty for any era, never mind very early cinema.

Even today ("modern times"), just the devil's horse, alone, freaks me out.
