A Night at the Opera : Manicurist actress…

Manicurist actress…

The young lady who plays the manicurist in the stateroom scene has never been credited or identified, despite the fact that she has two lines of dialogue. Also note that she appears in the ship-boarding scene as Groucho rushes by her to see if he has time to go pay his hotel bill...

Re: Manicurist actress…

Yeah, she is a very attractive woman. She did a good job as manicurist and reacted seriously doing her job, with all that craziness going on around her.

There was such good casting for this movie. Many very small parts often with no or little dialogue, but the actors and actresses came through like professionals to make this movie a classic.

Re: Manicurist actress…

That's another reason I loved the "Alone" ship dock scene. It had the fabulous romantic singing between Allen and Kitty and also had comic funny moments thrown into the middle of it with Harpo running up and throwing himself onto those different women and Groucho and the "go back and pay my hotel bill" comment all wrapped up in the same few moments.

Re: Manicurist actress…

This movie had some of the most talented people in front of and behind the camera in all of Hollywood.

The 2 directors were experts, the bunch of writer and screenwriters were to die for, casting chose the right people to do their thing better than anyone else could (even tho the role was a throwaway with none or one or two lines), film editing topnotch. and the actors and actresses were pretty good, too. 10/10.
