Re: Talk About It

This is a little known fact, but if you folded a piece of paper 42 times, it would be thick enough to reach the moon. Of course it would have to be a very wide piece of paper.

Also, after extensive research on YouTube, I've discovered that Germans and Britons, when crushing cars with tanks for the amusement of spectators, have a rather different way of doing it. The British prefer a relatively slow, relaxing crush, while the Germans prefer to run over the car at a very fast speed.

EDIT: Changed read to reach. I hate my brain.

Cool! Too bad you can't fold it more than 8. I guess the moon read will forever be a mystery novel.

Re: Talk About It

Here's some more info on the matter:

I actually first found out about this from a children's educational series from the 1990s (I *loved* 1990s educational TV!)

Oh, reach the moon! That's actually pretty cool. But give me cardboard; I'm impatient. lol

Re: Talk About It

Sorry for my mistake. I'm having extreme sleeping problems and am having a lot of trouble thinking (I wanted to read some books which came today, but can't due my fatigue).

So, whether or not winter will last another six weeks depends on your

definition of winter.

Just give me the damn prognostication

Re: Talk About It

I think more effort should go towards digitising vintage TV news material. For example, the National Archives of Australia has a big collection of news story segments from the late-1950s onwards, but as far as I know has digitised little of it so far. I think more of these things need to be digitised, and more importantly, the digitised content needs to be made available to the public.

Also, I want chocolate-flavoured Coca-Cola to exist.

This short computer program can run on the failed 1980s computer the Lynx (not the handheld):

I got it from an old computer book.

Re: Talk About It

What does it do? It draws something, I presume?

Re: Talk About It

It draws a shape on the screen, yes. It draws a sort of three-pointed star shape. It reminds me of something a character might wear on their outfit in a bad sci-fi movie.

The book says it also works on the BBC Micro computer, but I can't get it to work on the emulator.
