I think the 'friend' Jason is calling is Curtis, he's going to tell him that their partnership is over, he's done investigating the bombing, Julian's warning of possible retaliation was enough to convince him to back off.

A probable misdirect. The preview for tomorrow showed Jason telling someone 'I'm out', and the only person I can think of that such a message could apply to is Curtis.

but I think it's for next week. I read so many spoilers though that I could be wrong.

It looked like Sonny's arrested today.

After watching the ep, I seen what you meant though.

Jason would have never asked Sonny to break his house arrest.

"Is there any way you could get to the hospital in the next half-hour?"

Did they put it in out of neglect or knowing we'd call them on it then find out the next day it was for a specific reason?

I guess we'll see today.

If they did they are really desperate for ratings.

did anyone WATCH the episode???? sonny pretended his back hurt, left over from when he was shot and temporarily paralyzedsonny told someone that diane got him permission to go to the hospital to get his back checked out.

the real deal was him and jason pretending jason is off the case, they knew that julian had his physical therapy session right then and knew julian woukd over hear the conversation and assun=methat jason was not investigating the case anymore
