Our Mother's House : Why is Liz taylor's photo above?

Why is Liz taylor's photo above?

She's not in the film!

Anyone notice an impossibly young Phoebe Nicholls (Cordelia Flyte in Brideshead, Cherie Blair in The Trial Of Tony Blair) in the cast?

This is a creepy, gripping film, on Film Four last night, but Dirk Bogarde was dreadful- a bad hair dye job and the worst cockney accent this side of Dick Van Dyke or Don Cheadle.

Re: Why is Liz taylor's photo above?

Yeah - great picture of Liz, but I think its a mistake by imdb!

Re: Why is Liz taylor's photo above?

'Why is Liz Taylor's photo above?'

Good question!!

Re: Why is Liz taylor's photo above?

Yes, noticed Phoebe--she was also in the TV film of "Persausion"

Liz a mistake!

Don't think Bogarde was dreadful at all, and I think the bad hair dye job made the character look chessier!

Re: Why is Liz taylor's photo above?

The way to report the photograph error is to select the UPDATE DATA tab on the left side column of the film details. I've just reported it. Let's see.
By the way, the film will be showing on TCM on Aug 10 2009 at 11.30 pm.

Re: Why is Liz taylor's photo above?

Seven weeks later, La Liz is still proudly in place on the "Our Mother's House" page.

!!!

It was taken out!!!! Re: Why is Liz taylor's photo above?

I recently resubmitted the request (on 19 April 2010) to IMDB and they finally deleted the photograph. Aleluya!

It looks like last year IMDB didn´t take action when I sent my initial request (in June 2009) because I resubmitted the request more than once with corrections and to a different section within IMDB and that probably caused the request to go astray.

Anyway, even though I admire Lyz Taylor´s beauty, I am glad that her photograph is no longer on this film page. It looked like she was part of the cast to anyone who didn´t know better.

Re: Why is Liz taylor's photo above?

It's 3 months later now, but Liz Taylor's photo still has not been removed. Unfortunately the imdb is not anylonger what it used to be for so many years (which was a reliable movie database).
I notice more and more errors and shortcomings (for instance the Mary Higgins Clark filmography does not include the last 6 TV movies based on her novels although I wrote time and time again to the imdb, even listed the actors, titles, production years etc, however they prefer to not update their database...how weird!).

Try resubmitting your request (by just going to your Update History and resubmitting the same request, ensure you send it to the appropriate IMDB section - they put out a list with different topics to choose from) and perhaps this time they will take action. I read there is a new manager so they might be operating more effeciently now. Let me know.

Young Phoebe Nicholls, in this movie.

Yes: I also promptly recognized, and was riveted by, the young Phoebe Nicholls in this, and was totally impressed by her completely convincing performance. I've been a big fan of Phoebe's since "Brideshead Revisted," and have very much enjoyed seeing her in various roles (always productions airing on PBS) over the years since then. I hadn't realized, until seeing her (then known as Sarah Nicholls) tonight, on TCM, in this childhood role, that Miss Nicholls has been acting since so young. She was a terrific actress from the get-go!

to the OP:

bogarde terrible? are you kidding? he was the only good thing about the film!

Re: Why is Liz taylor's photo above?

As soon as I saw her, I knew I recognized "Gertie" from somewhere. It was halfway through the movie until I recognized the delightful Cordelia Flyte from "Bridehead"!

She is a very talented actress and was even as a child!

Dirk Bogarde is chillingly perfect - The cockney accent by the way is the cockney accent of a con man - trying to disguise it. Perfect!
